Despite the fact True Blood fans either love or hate the season 4 premiere, there’s one thing that’s absolutely certain: they want to see what’s going to happen next. Fortunately, you can. Right now!

Continuing HBO’s forward-thinking nature towards television viewing, the hit cable network has decided to make the second episode of their hit vampire series available on their online streaming service, HBO GO.

After last night’s True Blood season 4 premiere, fans were left wondering what Eric’s vampiric threat of “You are now mine!” would mean. Instead of waiting until next Sunday for all to be revealed, the temptation to continue this season’s storyline is freely available through your internet browser or smartphone via HBO GO. Of course, such temptations always come with certain negatives. In this instance, it means that you’ll have to wait 2 weeks before the next new episode of True Blood.

True Blood Season 4, Episode #2:  “You Smell Like Dinner”

Sookie (Anna Paquin) adjusts to Bon Temps’ new realities; Bill (Stephen Moyer) reveals pieces of his past; Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) crashes a witches’ meeting; Jason (Ryan Kwanten) gets his wounds licked; Andy (Chris Bauer) struggles with his addiction; Sam (Sam Trammell) learns of Luna’s (Janina Gavankar) special talents; Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) satisfies her blood cravings; and Arlene (Carrie Preston) witnesses strange behavior from her family.

While other networks are still trying to figure out how to incorporate online viewing into their corporate identity, HBO is the first network to fully grasp hold of this new medium – something that certainly benefits their millions of subscribers.

Initially conceived for Game of Thrones, the early online premiere for certain HBO series appears to have been a successful endeavor. Considering HBO lives within the monetary bubble of direct subscribers, they have no need to satisfy the need of advertisers. For HBO, it’s all about fulfilling the need of those who pay for their channel.

For all intents and purposes, HBO GO has certainly done just that.

True Blood airs Sundays @9pm on HBO
