Netflix and Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters series casts Mark Hamill (Star Wars) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) for season 2. They join the season 1 cast that includes Kelsey Grammer as Blinky (a role that got him an Emmy), Ron Perlman as Bular, Steven Yeun as Steve, Anjelica Huston as Queen Ursurna, Jonathan Hyde as Strickler, Amy Landecker as Barbara and Charlie Saxton as Toby.

The lead character in Trollhunters, Jim Lake Jr., is voiced by the late Anton Yelchin, who completed his recording through season 2 before his untimely death last year. Now, new players have joined the game in the upcoming second season of Trollhunters.

Deadline reports that Hamill, Heady, and Doctor Who's David Bradley have all signed the dotted lines and will join the recurring cast from season 1 for Netflix's acclaimed animated TV series. Hamill will be playing an antagonist of sorts, a character who is the older brother to a member of the Trollhunters, but who has pledged himself to the evil Gunmar. Heady will play an evil sorceress and Bradley will lend his voice to a mysterious and magical potential ally.

Hamill has played Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise since the first film arrived in 1977, and will reprise the role in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi. He's also voiced The Joker in various iterations of Batman animation. Headey, meanwhile, is most well-known for her role as Cersei Lannister on HBO's Game of Thrones.

Trollhunters is set in the fictional town of Arcadia and centers around Jake and his best friends, who one day discover that there's a war going on right underneath their hometown between the good trolls and the villainous ones. While the citizens of Arcadia are unaware of these fantastical happenings, the outcome of said war will affect everybody. On the surface, this isn't necessarily something people have not seen before as all the standard superhero tropes are present. Trollhunters features a socially awkward geeky teenager with his equally awkward geeky friends, then that socially awkward teenager gets super powers. Plus, the socially awkward teenager is terrible at being a superhero at first, until he becomes an ultimate warrior. However, del Toro tells these stories with such passion and energy, it keeps his fans salivating for more.

Season 2 of Trollhunters will pick up with Jim entering the Darklands alone. How will he fare without the help of his friends and fellow Trollhunters Toby and Claire? Considering he'll be facing off against The Joker and Cersei Lannister, it's safe to say, Jake is pretty much doomed.
