Fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians will be interested to learn that Tristan Thompson’s parental lawsuit against Maralee Nichols is dismissed. Thompson broke headlines earlier this month after Nichols, a Houston-based personal trainer, announced she gave birth to Thompson’s alleged child. Nichols has filed a paternity suit against Thompson for pregnancy-related fees and child support which is still pending.

Thompson’s alleged child came as a shock to KUWTK fans when Nichols claimed she conceived the child in March 2021. This would mean the conception occurred while Thompson was still in a public relationship with Khloé Kardashian. Khloé and Thompson are parents to two-year-old True Thompson and have been in an on-and-off-again relationship since 2016 when the pair first began dating. They repeatedly separated due to Thompson’s infidelity with numerous women, most notably in 2019 when Thompson cheated on Khloe with family-friend Jordyn Woods. In the past year, Khloe and Thompson have reunited and separated numerous times. When the news of Thompson's alleged child made headlines, Khloe and Thompson had already broken up after reuniting in March.

In a statement obtained by People from Nichols, she has confirmed: “the case that Tristan brought against me was dismissed on Dec. 15." While Thompson has disputed the paternity of Nichols' child, he has confirmed that the fling between himself and Nichols lasted between December 2020 and March 2021. In court documents obtained by Daily Mail, Thompson clarified that his relationship with Nichols was purely sexual and that Nichols understood the limitations on their relationship. Throughout the legal documents, he claims that the only time the child could be conceived was when the pair met in Houston in March 2021 to celebrate Thompson’s 30th birthday

Thompson has conceded likely to clarify that the conception occurred in Texas. Nichols sued Thompson in California, but Thompson would pay significantly less in child support in Texas. Since Nichols gave birth to her child she insists that Thompson tried to get her to have an abortion. Nichols claims that Thompson allegedly texted her to request she abort the child, with an offer of $75,000 if she were to remain silent regarding the scandal. Thompson also allegedly clarified that suing him for child support would be useless since he plans to retire from the NBA next year. Thompson denies these claims and his parallel parental lawsuit has been officially denied by a Texan judge.

Khloé has been separated from Thompson since 2021 due to separate rumors of Thompson’s affairs, but the news is still hard for the KUWTK star to hear. While the couple was separated when news broke of Nichols' pregnancy, Khloé reportedly feels sad about the ordeal as they continue to co-parent their daughter. Perhaps this latest revelation of Thompson’s behavior will be the force that finally drives Khloé to move on. Or maybe this is just one of many cheating-related blimps in their relationship. Fans of Khloé and Keeping Up With the Kardashians will have to wait and see as the paternity of Nichols' child is proven as the case continues to develop.
