Call of Duty, as a series, has been keeping players entertained since 2003. However, it's not just the fast-paced gunfights that have been holding the community's interest. Easter eggs have been scattered across the game series and players have loved every instance of them. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has yet to disappoint the easter egg hunters. The release of season 4 saw new weapons, game modes, maps, and the beloved Captain Price added to the game. One map in particular, 'Trench', dedicated to 2v2 gunfight, has got the hunters hunting.

The close-quarters map includes deep trenches, low barriers, and multiple intertwining paths. It also includes a secret Cold War-era bunker tucked into the eastern corner of the map. Players have been interested in these locked bunkers since Call of Duty: Warzone released back in March. Thankfully, Activision has given us means to open them, albeit roundabout and often convoluted. This guide will walk the dedicated Easter Egg Hunter through opening the secret bunker on the 2v2 gunfight map 'Trench'.

Opening the 'Trench' Bunker in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

In the dead center of the Eastern side of the map resides a bunker with a keypad to its right. Players cannot interact with the keypad, they will have to shoot the code into it once all five numbers are located (pen and paper may help). All five numbers must be found and entered in the following unique sequence. The numbers are randomly generated each time the map is loaded. Player A's code will NOT match Player B's. (Players may also consider keeping a Riot Shield on them)

Step 1: Find the numbers.

With one's back to the bunker door, head far-right and around the corner. Hop over the concrete barrier and look down and to the left. The first number will be written on the wall. Head back to the bunker, but this time run to the far left side of the map. A barrel will be resting by a wall, to the right of that barrel is the second number. From the barrel, head up and over the trench, and run diagonally across the map. Located directly West will be a small wooden box on the ground. The third number is written on the inside. Turn around, and head to the center of the South end of the map. Up above the trench is another concrete barrier, and written on its right side is the fourth number. Finally, look left of the barrier and two bridges will be seen. Underneath the second bridge is the last number. Players will have to orient themselves to get a good view of it. A good rule of thumb is to look south and then up at the bridge.

Step 2: Open the Bunker.

Once all five numbers are located head back to the bunker door and shoot the numbers, in order, into the keypad. A fortuitous beep will be heard, and the bunkers will open in dramatic fashion. But that's not the end! Not by a long shot! Inside the bunker is one of the strangest setups in Call of Duty easter egg history. Gathered around a war table are generals in what one can assume to be a Teddy Bear Army. They appear to be plotting out their next strategic move in the Great Toy War. One of the Teddy-Generals is smoking a lit cigar. Who lit it? Players can explore every wall of this bunker. Bloggers and Youtubers speculate that the pictures and files are hinting at themes for Call of Duty: 2020. At the rear of the bunker is another set of doors, and yes, they can be opened.

Step 3:  Open the back doors.

Just right of the war table is a teddy bear seated in front of a typewriter. Next to the typewriter is a red phone, and on that phone is the next keypad code. Good news! The code is the same every time - 53125. Head back to the keypad and shoot those numbers in. Listen carefully, a ringing phone will soon be heard. Run back into the bunker and answer it. The doors will open and on the other side will be a giant Teddy Bear duel wielding death machines... and he's seeing red. Remember that Riot Shield? Go ahead and pull that out. It's unsure whether or not players can hide from the mini-gun fire without leaving the bunker, so the best way to watch Teddy-Terminator is behind a Riot Shield (you will still take some damage)

The community will continue to explore this bunker, along with the other easter eggs and Call of Duty 2020 teasers that have been identified in both Warzone and the base game. The paperwork inside the bunker can be read when zoomed in on with a sniper rifle. They are mostly covered in numbers and dates. What do the numbers mean? (Cue Black Op's conspiracy theories).
