World-famous rap icon Travis Scott has seemingly gotten his hands on Sony's next-gen console and has taken to social media to flaunt his new PlayStation 5. The PS5 is slated to release on November 12 of this year, but Sony decided to send Travis Scott is new console a little bit early.

Travis Scott's most notable achievements are having produced the hit single "Sicko Mode" and being the world record holder for singing another hit, "Goosebumps", 14 times in a row in-concert. He has also been in the limelight of social media recently thanks to his widely memed partnership with McDonald's. However, Scott has also broken into the world of gaming, having played with one of the largest streamers on the planet, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, on multiple occasions. Earlier this year, Scott even teamed up with Fortnite to hold a massive in-game concert event that drew millions of concurrent players.

Now, Travis Scott claims to have found himself in possession of a PS5 weeks ahead of the console's mass market release. Last night, Travis Scott shared a photo of himself sitting in front of a large screen holding a PS5 DualSense controller in his lap, proclaiming to his envious followers, "I will be playing until the sun up." Curiously, Scott's TV screen was blank in the image, and the controller seemed somewhat lifeless resting in his leather-clad lap. As such, there wasn't much else to take away from the post beside the fact that Travis Scott has a PS5 (or at least a controller).

While it may seem odd that Travis Scott of all people was granted early access to a PS5, he has amassed a massive following over the years, many of which are children and teens who are easily influenced by Scott's words and actions. It's a smart move for Sony, then, to partner with Scott just ahead of the arrival of the next-gen console wars, as many young gamers could very well end up with PS5s under the Christmas tree because "Cactus Jack sent them." As part of a similar marketing strategy, it surely won't be long until Sony starts handing out PS5s to YouTubers and other influencers to further advertise its next-gen console.

It's hard to say whether gamers will be more jealous of Travis Scott's stylin' leather pants or his early access to the PS5. It would also be interesting to know which games Scott is able to play with more than a month to go until launch. Surely the international superstar isn't stuck playing Astro's Playroom, although that does seem fitting for Scott's Astroworld narrative. Travis Scott is probably cranking 90s in Fortnite, or, by his own implication, possibly playing a number of PS5 exclusive titles.
