Travis Barker's ex-wife Shanna Moakler is taking some time for herself amid his engagement to Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian. Shanna has been feuding with the famous family for some time since Kourtney and Travis began dating, even claiming the Kardashians destroyed her family. According to her, issues with her kids only started when Travis and Kourtney began their relationship. She also claimed that previous affair rumors about Travis and Kim Kardashian are true, which added to the strained relationship she has with her family. Shanna even slammed Kourtney and Travis' PDA, stating they're doing it to intentionally bother her.
Shanna made the decision to auction off a lot of her belongings from the four years she and Travis were married. This includes her engagement and wedding rings. The ex-couple was married from 2004-08 and Shanna is starting with a clean slate by selling the things Travis got her when they were together. Among her rings, another included item is a famous Andy Warhol painting. Shanna selling her engagement and wedding rings definitely makes a point of where she stands with Travis.
Shanna took to her Instagram Story to seemingly comment on her ex's new engagement. "Temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance," Shanna posted to her Story (via People). Along with that statement, she also shared a quote that's attributed to the late Tupac Shakur. "Before you ask why someone hates you, ask yourself why you give a f---," she wrote. According to her posts, it seems like Shanna is taking some time to focus on herself while she deals with this new shift in her already strained family dynamic.
As for Kourtney and Travis, it seems like the couple is very happy together. Travis proposed to Kourtney after their trip to New York for Travis' Saturday Night Live stint. A video of Travis and Kourtney's engagement showed the two surrounded by a bunch of red roses set up in a floral display on the beach. The location was intimate, and they were only surrounded by family and close friends. While this is the third time Travis is getting married (he was also married to Melissa Kennedy from 2001-02), it's the first time for Kourtney, who never married her ex, Scott Disick.
It's nice for fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians to see Kourtney happy with Travis, even if Shanna doesn't seem to be a fan of the couple. Shanna is taking a step back from her feud with the Kardashians, but based on how much she's talked about them lately, it may not last long. Hopefully, both Kourtney and Travis and Shanna will be able to find happiness in their new lives with their new family dynamic.
