While Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege may be mining the mythos of the robots in disguise for its version of the Cybertronian civil war, it's going to sound a bit different than usual, with a voice cast consisting largely of newcomers to the franchise. The dark, gritty Netflix series has plenty of fans salivating over the idea of a Transformers series aimed at a decidedly older audience than the franchise's usual fare.

And while Transformers: Siege utilizes many of the most iconic aspects of the Transformers franchise, the usual stable of voice actors was not one of them. Franchise veterans like Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are nowhere to be found; in their place is an eclectic crew of newcomers and industry pros who haven't spent much time on Cybertron. Here's the full lineup of Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege's voice cast.

Jake Foushee as Optimus Prime: The heroic leader of the Autobots, who's trying to keep his head above water as the Cybertronian civil war takes a dark turn. Foushee became a teenage sensation online with his Optimus Prime impression, leading to an appearance on Ellen and, eventually, actually voicing Prime himself. This is Foushee's second outing as Prime, having played the part previously in Transformers: Cyberverse.

Jason Marnocha as Megatron: The leader of the Decepticons, Transformers: Siege's version of Megatron isn't as cartoonishly evil as prior incarnations; this time he has real grievances with the leadership of Cybertron and sees himself as something of a freedom fighter. Marnocha voiced Megatron previously in the Machinima trilogy of cartoons.

Linsay Rousseau as Elita-1: The fan-favorite female Autobot serves as Optimus Prime's most trusted lieutenant, and often a voice of reason in the face of mounting odds. Rousseau, a motion capture performer and Army veteran, is a newcomer to the Transformers franchise.

Frank Todaro as Starscream: Megatron's treacherous underling is up to his old tricks again in Siege, voiced by Todaro, who played multiple roles in the Machinima trilogy of Transformers cartoons. His impression of original Starscream voice actor Chris Latta is extremely impressive.

Joe Zieja as Bumblebee: YouTuber Zieja, a newcomer to the franchise, voices a decidedly different version of Bumblebee; this time the diminutive Cybertronian is an unaffiliated energon hunter, trying in vain to steer clear of the Autobot/Decepticon conflict entirely.

Edward Bosco as Ultra Magnus: Bosco, a video game veteran (his credits include World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy VII remake), makes his Transformers debut as Optimus Prime's right hand man. Magnus has one of the more dramatic arcs in the series, and his decisions will have huge consequences for the direction of the war.

Todd Haberkorn as Shockwave: This version of the purple, faceless Decepticon is something of a mad scientist who offers Megatron a dark way to end the war. Haberkorn has worked extensively in anime dubbing on the likes of Soul Eater and Suzuka, but this is his first time working on Transformers.

Keith Silverstein as Jetfire: The leader of the Decepticon seekers, this version of Jetfire isn't sure Megatron's goals are honorable. Silverstein is a video game veteran, and even voiced characters in the Fall of Cybertron video games.

Bill Rogers as Wheeljack: The Autobots' resident mad scientist plays a crucial role in Siege's story, making a discovery that could turn the war on its head. Rogers is another video game voiceover veteran making his first foray into the world of Transformers.

Brook Chalmers as Impactor: Traditionally an antihero Autobot, Siege reimagines Impactor as a Decepticon who owes an unusual debt. Chalmers is active in several franchises (including Trolhunters and One Punch Man), but this is his first time with the robots in disguise.

Sophia Isabella as Arcee: Arcee's role in Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege is brief, but fans are always happy to see the most iconic female Autobot in action. Isabella previously voiced the Autobot Windblade in Transformers: Cyberverse.
