Netflix reveals the full trailer for Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom, offering a look at the heroes and villains of the trilogy's finale. The animated series hails from showrunner F.J. DeSanto and writers George Krstic, Gavin Hignight, and Brandon M. Easton, continuing the story from Machinima's Prime Wars Trilogy. The first two chapters of the show have received rave reviews from critics.

The second arc of the War for Cybertron trilogy, entitled Earthrise, saw Optimus Prime and the Autobots head down to Earth in search of their ship, the Ark, while the villainous Megatron is visited by his future self, Galvatron, in an effort to change the timeline to their benefit. However, in a twist for the larger Transformers universe, the Autobots arrived on a prehistoric Earth with their war having already reached the planet. After the tease of Dinobot in the finale, Netflix is ready to bring the War for Cybertron to a close.

After the initial teaser of the storyline's adaptation in the final arc, it certainly comes as an exciting surprise for fans to see Beast Wars is coming to life in Kingdom. The narrative has long been one of the more celebrated among fans of the franchise, with many forgiving the terrible graphics of the 1996 animated series due to its solid plot. The first trailer for Kingdom certainly points to an intriguing twist on the story with Optimus Prime and his group facing off against the Decepticons and Predacons, rather than their descendants, as was the case in the original.

Given that Steven Caple Jr.'s in-production live-action film, Rise of the Beasts, is also adapting the Beast Wars plot, it seems safe to say producers are certainly aware of audiences' desire to see it come to life with better graphics in comparison to the original series. With the film also bringing a few twists to the source material, there should be plenty of surprises coming in the near future. Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom arrives on Netflix on July 29.
