No matter how well received the Transformers franchise has been, the Autobot known as Bumblebee has been given a prime role in each of the feature films. His journey from being the close friend to Sam Witwicky through the first three movies to now being the leader of the Autobots with Optimus Prime off on other adventures has left him with a promising future in the franchise. Bumblebee is returning with a new look for another appearance in Transformers: The Last Knight prior to his solo movie coming out in 2018, so there will be plenty more opportunities to see the yellow Transformer in the foreseeable future.

As the leader of the Autobots for the first time, he will be leading the charge against whatever initial threat rises from Megatron. Optimus Prime will be returning at some point with potentially new knowledge on their history, but until then it looks as though the fate of the world will fall into the hands of Bumblebee and Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg). Both have so far remained hidden throughout production, but that has changed as the cast begins filming in London.

ComingSoon has posted new set photos from the set of Transformers: The Last Knight that feature the two aforementioned heroes, plus a special guest. Spotted on set for the first time is co-star Laura Haddock, whose character has not yet been revealed. Haddock is featured getting in or out of Bumblebee wearing fancier clothing than normal, everyday attire in some shots, but is also again shown in another outfit. Wahlberg was also spotted on his way to set in casual clothes as well.

Mark Wahlberg - Transformers 4

Due to Haddock's multiple outfits, the scenes being shot here appear to take place over multiple days. Either that, or Haddock's character needed to dress up or down for presumably the next stage in their plan. Even though no character details have been revealed for Haddock, with her seemingly working with Bumblebee, she and Cade appear to be on the same side.

It was recently revealed that Stanley Tucci would return for the fifth Transformers movie, so an encounter with him could be on the horizon. With so little being shown in the photos themselves, and the overall mystery surrounding the plot that each character will follow, it is difficult to truly find any semblance of meaning for what exactly is happening in these photos. Either way, Haddock, Wahlberg, and Bumblebee all look great and will hopefully help breathe new life into the franchise.

Transformers: The Last Knight opens in U.S. theaters on June 23, 2017, followed by the Bumblebee spin-off on June 8, 2018, and Transformers 6 on June 28, 2019.
