Transformers: The Last Knight Set Photos Tease King Arthur Connection

So far in the Transformers movie franchise, the story has taken viewers throughout many different parts of the world. From small towns to big cities in China, the movies have not been bashful on keeping things small or grounded. This is a franchise revolving around an ancient robotic race that now protects Earth as if it is their own world after all, so audiences expect some sort of over-the-top narrative to follow. Even though they have not been the best received by critics, audiences around the world keep going back to see what the Transformers are up to next.

Transformers: The Last Knight will be the fifth movie in the franchise and reportedly will tie the Transformers lore into King Arthur. While this has not yet been confirmed by Paramount or anyone else involved with the movie, the latest batch of set photos seem to further indicate this connection.

BBC has posted some new photos from the set showcasing unspecified actors in old medieval attire. The scenes being shot had multiple actors on horseback traveling through the mountains of the Isle of Skye, an island in Scotland. There was no word on whether or not any familiar faces were featured in this scene, but with it likely being set in the past as a piece of the Transformers origins, do not expect Mark Wahlberg or another high level cast member to be in these scenes.

These photos seem to confirm the rumors that in some way the events playing out in the present day story of Transformers: The Last Knight are connected to King Arthur, and possibly the Excalibur sword. The most plausible outcome of this scene could be that it features King Arthur and his guard as they travel looking for the sword, before crossing paths with a Transformer (possibly Optimus Prime) along the way.

Surprisingly, not much else regarding the plot of the movie has yet to come out, making it somewhat difficult to piece together the bits of information we do know.
