Transformers: Age of Extinction premieres in theaters around the world in just a few days, and so far most of the film's promotion has understandably focused on the big draw of the series, those lovable robots in disguise. Fan-favorite characters like Bumblebee and Ratchet are set to return along with their fearless leader Optimus Prime, but the Autobots will also be joined this time around by a new ally against the Decepticons, Grimlock and the rest of the Dinobots.
But while the Transformers themselves are what fans signed up to watch - well, that and the Michael Bay explosions - it's the human cast that takes the audience on the film's journey. And surprisingly, we still know very little about the three people that the Autobots will choose to protect.
In a nutshell, Mark Wahlberg plays Cade Yeager, an inventor who discovers Optimus Prime and as a result brings a whole lot of trouble down on himself, his daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) and her boyfriend Shane (Jack Reynor).
These newly released images from Transformers 4 may not enlighten us as to the trio's story, but they do give some hints at what we can expect to see from them and the rest of the human cast, including Cade's friend Lucas (T. J. Miller), robot designer Joshua Joyce (Stanley Tucci) and Joshua's assistant Darcy Tyril (Sophia Myles). Check the images out below:

Whereas the humans of the first trilogy spent most of their time being saved by the Transformers, it looks like Wahlberg's Cade prefers to take matters into his own hands. (And arms. He has to use those biceps for something, right?) The images may be slightly spoilery, but check out Cade running around with a sword that is much too small for a Transformer and yet a bit too large for any normal human.
Then there's the shot of Optimus Prime kneeling down and on fire. This image could just as well be from his triumph over the bad guys. The group shot of all the humans surrounded by the Transformers is another favorite, and the image of Grimlock gives us one of the best shots yet of the Dinobot in action.
