A new themed land is coming to Walt Disney World this summer, as attractions based upon Toy Story will open in June. Due to the theme park rights for Marvel characters being owned by Universal Studios, the various Disney Parks haven't been able to fully take advantage of their various superheroes. Meanwhile, Islands of Adventure still has their Marvel themed rides and attractions stuck in the '90s. Fortunately, other Disney properties have had an easier time.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will soon debut at Disney Parks and allow guests to immerse themselves in the world of the films. From rides to themed hotels and restaurants, the Star Wars land looks to be even more immersive than the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal/Islands of Adventure. The new Star Wars land will open as part of an update to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Now, it won't be long until that park plays host to another big Disney pantheon.

Disney announced today that Toy Story Land will open on June 30th at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida. The park will include sections inspired by the Aliens, the Green Army Men, and all of the main characters from the trilogy so far. They also released a video showing a Slinky-inspired rollercoaster that will be a main feature of the land.

The land will also add a new interactive ride based on Andy's room to their existing Toy Story Mania! attraction, along with a walk-up window restaurant called Woody's Lunchbox that will serve various foods inspired by the films. Along with the first look at Slinky Dog Dash (the aforementioned rollercoaster), the announcement included some concept art for various sections of the land that will use the movies and popular toys to immerse park-goers:

Along with lands for Star WarsToy Story, and a handful of Marvel attractions, Disney also has an Avatar themed park. While not a Disney property, that could change if the company's deal to purchase 20th Century Fox goes through. Either way, it's another feather in the cap of Disney Parks.

And though U.S. residents don't have access to a Disney-owned Marvel-inspired park, that's not the case elsewhere in the world. The latest announcement regarding Marvel and Star Wars at Disney Parks confirmed new Marvel attractions and rides based on the MCU will be coming to Disneyland ParisThere, Marvel art will adorn hotel walls and rides themed around Ant-Man & the Wasp and Guardians of the Galaxy will soon open. But for fans of Pixar, the news of a whole new Toy Story experience will be exciting.
