Something that Pixar has always done a great job of is adding small Easter Eggs into its movies. Whether it is hints to future stories, nods to the past, or cameo appearances from other characters, there have been tons of brilliant moments for fans to seek out and appreciate. With the Toy Story franchise being such a hit for the company, it is no surprise that Pixar has stuffed these with Easter Eggs over the years.

Some of the Easter Eggs, like the Pizza Plant truck or the A113 sign, can be quite obvious to spot upon first viewing. However, there are others that won't be seen until fans view the movie multiple times, looking out for the more hidden details within them.

A Mickey Mouse Cameo

Toy Story - Mickey Mouse clock on the wall

When it comes to Disney, Mickey Mouse is the most iconic character, no matter how many great movies get made. Because of that, he often gets squeezed in for cameo appearances within many of the classic animations and Pixar movies to feature him.

That's the case with the original Toy Story movie as well, with Andy clearly being a fan of the big cheese himself. During one shot of all the toys on the bed, if audiences avert their eyes from what they're doing and look to the wall, they'll see a clock on the wall that has Mickey in the middle.

A Nod To Horror

Toy Story-The Shining carpet

Not every Easter Egg within the Toy Story franchise is to something that is from other Pixar or Disney movies, and one example of that is actually the carpet in Sid's house. This is actually an Easter Egg that only horror fans will have picked up on, as it is a nod to The Shining.

This is clearly there to showcase that the house isn't a nice place, which is obvious from how Sid behaves and treats the other toys. However, the carpet is something that will make any horror fan smile, although it's not something that people are expecting, so it can be missed.

A Bug's Life Toy

The scenes inside Al's Toy Barn are certainly a lot of fun and filled with irony with toys wandering around looking at other toys. One of the greatest scenes comes from the Barbie tour, but because a lot of focus gets placed on that, it can lead to people missing a great Easter Egg.

When Buzz is running around the store himself, he goes past a few toys that many Pixar fans will likely be aware of. That's because they're from another Pixar movie, A Bug's Life, with Flik and Dim both being showcased hanging there; this is something fans have to do a double-take to see.

A Cloudy Ending

Toy Story 3 clouds, the final shot

Toy Story 3 was originally set to bring the franchise to its conclusion, and it did so in an emotional manner (until Pixar made a fourth). Pixar brought an end to the third movie with a clever shot that was identical to the opening shot of the first movie.

In the original movie, things open up on the clouds on Andy's wallpaper, before turning into the action, yet in the final movie once Woody has said goodbye, the camera pans up to the exact same shot, only this time it is the actual clouds in the sky.

Lightning McQueen Fan

Speaking of Toy Story 3, another great Easter Egg a lot of people miss is a reference to Lightning McQueen, from Pixar's Cars franchise. This takes place when the children run into the daycare for the first time, and because there are so many of them, people don't often spot this moment.

However, one of the children has the number 95 as well as the lightning bolt on his top, which is the same number that Lightning McQueen has in the movies, with the bolt being on the car as part of his signature look, with this child clearly being a fan.

B&N Batteries

Buzz Lightyear's batteries are shown in Toy Story 3, revealing the Buy N Large logo from WALL-E

This Easter Egg is a very specific one that takes a keen eye to spot, as it's only a small logo that is shown here. That's why this one is often missed, but in Toy Story 3, Buzz's back ends up opened up, which shows the batteries he has, with the B&N logo just sneaking through.

This logo stands for the company Buy N Large, which has a particular place in the Pixar world within the movie WALL-E. This company is actually the one responsible for creating WALL-E himself, but with only part of the logo shown on the batteries, this is one a lot of fans aren't aware of.

Short Books

Woody gives a speech in Toy Story

Something that Pixar does an amazing job at is creating short movies, and during the original Toy Story, the company paid tribute to some of the earliest movies. When Woody is busy making his big speech, there are some books shown in the background Andy clearly reads.

They just happen to all be named after some of Pixar's earliest short movies, which is something a lot of fans may not notice due to the focus being on Woody.

Spot The Goggles

Finding Nemo in Toy Story 4

Inside Toy Story 4 the antique store is a perfect location for Easter Eggs, and Pixar didn't disappoint. This location is something any fan of Easter Eggs should be on the lookout for, and during one scene, two can be found at the same time, with a nod to former Pixar movies.

Firstly, the goggles can be found that come from Finding Nemo, which helps Marlin locate his son. Meanwhile, next to that is a small cookie jar which is actually modeled after the cart that is used by the circus bugs in A Bug's Life.

Remember These Guitars?

Toy Story 4 Coco's Guitars hanging

In Toy Story 4, Buzz ends up tied up as an option for people to pick if they win the game at the fair. All the attention is on him, but there is more to these toys than meets the eye, with lots of options for people to pick, which includes one particular Easter Egg that fans of Coco may notice on a second viewing.

When actually taking in more of the scene itself, audiences will see the guitar that Miguel uses, with the same style, can be found hanging on the side next to Buzz, with winners being able to choose that if they wish.

Pixar's Address

Etch-a-Sketch draws the map to Al's Toy Barn

One Easter Egg that is very well hidden takes place in Toy Story 2 when the group is aiming to rescue Woody. To do that, they need to create a map to get them to Al's Toy Barn, and they use Etch-a-Sketch to give them that, showing them the way.

However, this moment actually provides the location to Pixar's Animation Studios. The map might show things as Al's Toy Barn, which is 1001 West Cutting Boulevard, but that isn't a made-up address, that is the home of Pixar itself.
