Now in its ninth season on the E! Network, Total Divas has proven itself to be an incredibly popular and entertaining reality television show. Following the lives of various female WWE Superstars, focusing on their careers, friendships, and love lives, the show has proven to be a hit with both wrestling and non-wrestling fans.

Making household names out of people like Brie and Nikki Bella, the show has constantly changed up the cast and brought in some of WWE's biggest names, including Ronda Rousey herself. However, what if the show had always been around, what other former WWE Divas would have been perfect for this show? Well, within this article, we will delve back in time and pick out 10 former Divas who would have been perfect fits on Total Divas.

Trish Stratus

We will kickstart the list with an obvious choice, as one of WWE's greatest ever female wrestlers, there is no doubt that Trish Stratus would have been a hit on Total Divas, even though she is quite a private person in real life.

Because of that, it would have been interesting to learn a little more about Stratus behind the scenes, finding out what she was like and how her drive was to get to the top, especially if the cameras caught her early on during her rise in the company. Stratus was the most popular female talent in WWE by a long way, and had WWE have had the reality show at that time there is no way she wouldn't have been part of it.

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn was a top star in WWE throughout her time with the company and she only just missed out on the Total Divas era, which she would likely have been part of due to her incredible popularity with the WWE Universe. The show is all about fun, and having people on with tons of personality and that is something Kaitlyn has got plenty of, as she showed during the course of her wrestling career.

Not afraid to speak her mind and someone who was fiercely independent, eventually starting up her own business, Kaitlyn had all of the qualities necessary to be great on the show.

AJ Lee

She may have always been very vocal against Total Divas on-screen in WWE, but fans certainly would have loved AJ Lee to have been part of the show. As she was the very best wrestler in WWE at the time, she could have really provided a great insight for the wrestling fans.

Being able to describe what it was like going against the classic 'Diva' image at the time and how she overcame that problem would have been fascinating to learn about. On top of that, AJ's relationship with CM Punk, who fans know very little about when it comes to his real life, and exploring that as the show has done with many great relationships in the company would have been amazing.

Beth Phoenix

Natalya is now the only wrestler to have been part of every season of Total Divas, and while she certainly doesn't have the most glamorous of lives, she is incredibly entertaining and considering the fact that Beth Phoenix is her best friend, it would have been to see them together. There's no doubt that the two women have great chemistry, and they would certainly get up to some funny things together, so bringing them together for a season would have been great.

Much like Nattie, Phoenix is a locker room leader and has the respect of the others, which create an interesting dynamic, and she is also married to a WWE Hall Of Famer in Edge, that would have created some fun moments for the show.

Lita

Lita might not seem like your typical WWE Diva by the way she dresses and how she wrestled in the ring, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't have fit in excellently on Total Divas, after all, the show does always try to highlight different types of women.

Paige is a perfect example of how the show is great at bringing in different types of women, and given Lita's punk rock vibes, she would have been a great way for the show to do that in the Attitude Era. However, the real reason Lita would have been ideal on the show is the drama surrounding her affair with Edge, cheating on fellow WWE Superstar, Matt Hardy, which would have made for golden reality television.

Chyna

WWE Superstar Chyna Dies at 45

As we previously mentioned, Total Divas always likes to highlight different types of women on the show, not just the stereotypical model, with women of all different sizes being showcased, which is why Chyna would have been ideal on the show. She was the first woman to really break grounds in WWE in terms of proving they could compete with men, which would have been interesting to see develop on the reality show.

As well as that, Chyna certainly wasn't afraid of letting her opinion be known, which would have suited the show along with her relationship with Triple H, certainly making for interesting viewing.

Laycool

This is a two-in-one entry, but Total Divas would really have wanted Layla and Michelle McCool together on the show in the same way that it packages the Bella Twins. The duo had amazing chemistry together and there is no doubt that would have been the same off-camera as well.

Had the show been around these two would surely have been a major part of it. Not only were they two of WWE's top female stars during their run with the company, but they were very entertaining. Whether the show highlighted a softer side to their personalities in comparison to the bullies they portrayed in WWE, or if it showed their creating pranks and winding up the talent, they would have been brilliant.

Torrie Wilson

Torrie Wilson was the ultimate WWE Diva back in her day. She was (and still is) gorgeous, and she always managed to be incredibly entertaining both in the ring and in backstage segments. That is why she would have been a perfect fit for the show.

Wilson is one of the first people that fans think of when the term WWE Diva is brought up, and that isn't a bad thing, as she performed her character to perfection, adding plenty of drama to everything she did. While Wilson is known for being incredibly kindhearted backstage, there is no doubt she would have excelled on the reality show had it been around during her era, knowing exactly when to turn it up a notch.

Stacy Keibler

One of the biggest aspects of Total Divas is the focus on the relationships that the Divas have, and anytime someone famous is involved it is always focused on heavily. Hence why Nikki Bella's relationship with John Cena was such a focal point of the show.

This is why Stacy Keibler would have been a perfect fit on the show as she really did thrive in the 'diva' side of her wrestling career. When it comes to celebrity couples, it doesn't get much bigger than Keibler's relationship with George Clooney.

Melina

Whether you want to believe them or not, throughout Melina's wrestling career there have been tons of rumors regarding the backstage drama that she caused in WWE. While it might have been annoying at the time, had the Total Divas cameras been rolling, it would have been golden.

Melina was one of the top talents of her era, and the show does always like to focus on the in-ring growth of wrestlers as well, which is another reason why she would have been a good fit. On top of that, Melina was in relationships with several WWE Superstars during her run, and the show always features inner-WWE relationships such as Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan, which is why she would really have been perfect.
