Scorpios are often the most misunderstood of the Zodiacs. Besides Geminis, Scorpios have complex characteristics that are hard to read and understand. On the surface, they come off as cold and emotionless, but deep down they are emotional and passionate about what they believe in.

Some of our favorite heroes display Scorpio qualities and it makes them relatable and intriguing. But when it comes to villains, we see ruthless, petty, and unstable foes, that often have a good reason to do what they're doing but not good means. Looking at our favorite movies, here are our favorite Scorpio villains.

Kylo Ren - Star Wars Saga

Kylo Ren Rise of Skywalker

Arguably one of the best things to come from the new Star Wars trilogy is this complicated and emotional villain, Kylo Ren. Similar to his idol, Darth Vader, Kylo was ruthless, impatient, and he constantly fought with his inner emotions to remain the bad guy we all grew to love.

As a true Scorpio, Kylo was independent, fiery, and intimidating to those around him. What set him apart from his predecessor was he showed everyone when he was mad or upset with his violent fits and he showed sympathy on several occasions, refusing to kill Rey and feeling remorse for killing his own father.

Scar - Lion King (1994)

As one of the most iconic Disney villains of all time, Scar was one of the few to see his plan through and actually succeed. Sure his success was short-lived but he still managed to do some damage, including killing his own brother and slandering his young nephew.

Scar's whole plan came from his feeling of resentment and feeling cheated for having the throne taken from right under him. To the rest of the world, he's an outcast due to his cold demeanor and ability to make those around him feel uncomfortable.

Randall - Monsters Inc. (2001)

Randall was the arch-nemesis for Mike and Sully and he knew it. He would constantly look to brag about his accomplishments and would give the other monsters a hard time just because he felt he was better than them.

One thing Scorpios hate is losing, so like a true villain and Scorpio, Randall went full petty and tried to ruin the Mike and Sully's life.

Lou Bloom - Nightcrawler (2014)

One of the defining qualities of a Scorpio is their ability to bend the world to their need, to do anything to accomplish what they feel they need to. For Lou Bloom, it was to capture the best newsworthy footage to sell to the local news.

He did anything and everything to make sure he was the first on the scene, even starting some crimes himself and putting him and his partner in dangerous situations. He didn't care who he hurt, he just wanted to get the shot.

Bellatrix Lestrange - Harry Potter Series

Bellatrix casts the killing curse

Bellatrix is a chaotic and unpredictable Death Eater with no real plan in life other than to serve Voldemort and cause destruction. Scorpios are loyal to their cause and Bellatrix has been a Death Eater through and through, even serving jail time for her cause.

Bellatrix is also emotionless and very intimidating, with many people refusing to even be in the same room as her. She says what she means and doesn't sugarcoat it, the trademark sign of a true Scorpio.

Hela - Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

Making her way in the third installment of Thor, Hela did something that no one had ever done, break Thor's hammer. She came unto the scene and immediately made her presence known, and her plans.

She was fully determined to take back what was hers and didn't let anything stop her. She's passionate about ruling the world and lets everyone hear it.

Ursula - The Little Mermaid (1989)

Another classic Disney Villain. Ursula resonates Scorpio energy, she's manipulative, passionate, and she's determined to get what she wants and will do anything to get it.

Ursula doesn't need to get violent, she works behind the scenes to avoid her name being thrown in the dirt and to gain the trust of Ariel.

General Zod - Man Of Steel (2013)

Zod Michael Shannon Man of Steel

General Zod made his way unto the bug screen as the big bad in Man of SteelAny villain that can go toe to toe with Superman deserves respect and admiration and Zod proves just how worthy of an opponent he is with his leadership skills and "failure is no option" approach.

Zod can be a little emotionless and cold but he truly cares for his people and in his own twisted way, he means well for his people.

The Joker - Suicide Squad (2016)

Jared Leto Joker

Since his introduction in the comics, there have been many iterations of the Joker on both the big and small screen. The Jared Leto Joker doesn't get the best praise compared to Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix's but he is nonetheless an intimidating and worthy villain.

This version of the Clown Prince of Crime is more of a ruthless mob boss, constantly displaying his craziness and acting on his emotions. He doesn't let anyone disrespect Harley Quinn and will literally kill you for looking at him wrong.

Flint Marko - Spider-man 3 (2007)

Sandman desintegrates into the wind in Spider-Man 3

Flint Marko never wanted to be a bad guy, even when he got his powers. In fact, he spends the entire movie just trying to get money to pay for his daughter's expensive surgery and only decides to go after Spider-man when he tries to stop him.

He acts on emotion, believing that he is doing the right thing for his daughter and he's a solitary guy, only agreeing to work with Venom when he realized they both had something in common.
