Kate & Leopold (2001) - 6.4

Kate & Leopold is a rom-com that follows Hugh Jackman's 19th-century character who falls into a time portal and travels to the 21st century. After time traveling to the 21st century, he meets and becomes romantically involved with Meg Ryan's character and typical rom-com hijinks ensue.

Although Kristen Schaal only has a small role in this film, it's a fun and carefree rom-com with great period piece costumes.

The Muppets (2011) - 7.1

This 2011 film follows the muppets as they try to get the group back together for a fundraiser show to save their studios. Jason Segel and girlfriend Amy Adams help their muppet friends and try to defeat the corporate enemies trying to get rid of the studio.

Kristen Schaal has a small but hilarious role as an anger management facility group leader. It's a fun film overall and has some great music from songwriter and Flight of the Conchords band member, Bret McKenzie.

Despicable Me 2 (2013) - 7.3

The second movie of the animated franchise sees main character Gru (voiced by Steve Carrell) give up his villainous ways to be a father to his three adopted daughters. He switches sides and joins the Anti-Villain League and teams up with Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wiig) to stop as much villainous activity as they can.

Although Kristen Schaal doesn't have a big role, it's a pretty solid and enjoyable sequel and worth checking out if you enjoyed the first Despicable Me. 

The Last Man On Earth (2015 - 2018) - 7.3

The Last Man on Earth was a comedy series about the apocalypse, starring Will Forte. Forte's character believes he's the last man left on Earth after a deadly virus has infected the population, but in the show, he quickly realizes that he's not alone when Kristen Schaal's character finds him and more people keep appearing and their group of survivors grows.

It's a great change of pace to the apocalyptic dramas all over television and definitely worth the watch if you're a fan of Kristen Schaal!

Toy Story 4 (2019) - 7.8

The fourth installment in the animated franchise sees the toys go on the road with their new owner, Bonnie. The toys get lost in an antique shop and have to figure out an escape plan to get back to Bonnie.

Kristen Schaal has a small role voicing one of Bonnie's original toy dinosaurs. Although Toy Story 3 provided a satisfying ending to the trilogy, it was still a good film and nice to see Woody and the gang again.

Bob's Burgers (2011- ) 8.1

Bob's Burgers is an animated television series that follows the antics of the Belcher family who own a burger restaurant. Kristen Schaal voices Louise Belcher, their youngest daughter, who is always seen with her pink bunny ear hat and is known to hatch devious plans.

The show is hilarious, from the main Belcher family and their feuding restaurant owners across the street to the kids' classmates at school. It's a nice and heart-warming show that is never lacking in outrageous storylines or laughs.

Toy Story 3 (2010) - 8.3

The third installment of the animated franchise sees the toy's owner, Andy, all grown up and leaving for college. He collects his toys in trash bags and plans to put them in the attic before he leaves, but they're mistakenly put out as garbage and Woody saves the group, only to be put into a donation bin along with them. The toys quickly learn they need to escape the daycare they've been sent to when the kids don't play as nice as Andy did.

Although there is a lot of tense and heavy moments throughout this film, by the end, the toys have found a new home with a young girl named Bonnie. Kristen Schaal has a small role as the voice of one of Bonnie's toys and overall this was a great and satisfying end to the trilogy.

Flight Of The Conchords (2007-2009) - 8.5

Flight of the Conchords was a quirky and hilarious musically themed HBO show that ran for two seasons. The show follows Bret (Bret McKenzie) and Jemaine (Jemaine Clement) as they move from New Zealand to New York and try to get their band some recognition with the "help" of their manager (Rhys Darby).

The show sees Bret and Jemaine as struggling artists who are constantly looking for girlfriends and they sing hilarious and catchy songs about the various situations they're put through in each episode. Kristen Schaal plays their overly obsessive stalker fan, their only fan, who always shows up when you least expect it. It's a feel-good show with great characters and a lot of fun music, definitely worth the watch!

Bojack Horseman (2014-2020) - 8.7

Bojack Horseman is an adult animated series that follows the washed-up television star of the same name (voiced by Will Arnett) as he navigates his life and continually makes the same mistakes of his past. He's joined by a cast of talented actors, including Alison Brie, Amy Sedaris, Paul F. Tompkins, and Aaron Paul, who show up as other animals throughout Bojack's life.

Kristen Schaal plays the reoccurring character (Sarah Lynn) that starred in the television series with Bojack, Horsin' Around. It's an engaging and surprisingly realistic show with a lot to say that's worth a watch.

Gravity Falls (2012-2016) - 8.9

This animated show only ran for two seasons but it has an incredible fanbase and stellar reviews as an engaging, hilarious, and at times genuinely spooky show. The show follows two young twins, Mabel (Kristen Schaal) and Dipper (Jason Ritter), who are sent to live with their great uncle aka Grunkle Stan.

Dipper quickly realizes that there are supernatural happenings in the town of Gravity Falls and is determined to figure out the mysteries of the town. Mabel is usually more concerned with finding a new crush or working on crafts and her radio show with her pig Waddles, but still finds time to help her brother. It's an incredibly well put together show that follows a satisfying story arc from beginning to end, check it out!
