Season 3 of Netflix's hit reality dating series Too Hot To Handle delivered more drama than the previous two seasons combined. With the prize pool doubled to $200,000, the couples managed to break so many of Lana's celibacy rules that the figure dwindled all the way down to $0 at one point during the season. However, some couples in the show were far more obedient than others.
Aside from following the rules, what makes a couple so strong on THTH is natural chemistry, the ability to take things slow, open up emotionally, and truly invest in getting to know one another.
Truth & Izzy
As someone who claimed to not care about making a genuine connection whatsoever, Truth really appeared mad that he was not participating in the faux-reality show Paradise Island. When he found out he was on Too Hot to Handle, he dove headlong into a love triangle with Izzy and Jaz, leading the former on with lies, kisses, and sweet nothings.
Truth ultimately chose to share a bed with Izzy, which he instantly regretted once Jaz gained attention from Obi. Truth made a halfhearted play for Jaz again, which left Izzy in the cold until both of them were eliminated from the show for not taking Lana's challenges seriously.
Olga & Stevan
One of the most amusing arcs on season 3 was watching Stevan's bad-boy image shatter to reveal an emo softie underneath the rough exterior. After striking out with Georgia, Stevan rebounded with Olga but quickly fell out of favor with her as well. Both instances ended tearfully for Stevan.
Extremely blunt and direct, Stevan made no secret about his affection for Olga. However, after initially hitting it off with witty banter and flirty vibes, Stevan's personality began to wear on Olga, leading her to explore other options and encouraging Stevan to do the same.
Jackson & Olga
Despite trying her hardest to make a connection, Olga had a rough go of it in the villa. She immediately hit it off with bad-boy Stevan, but that fizzled once the two got to really know each other. Just when things looked up for Olga, British charmer Jackson did her dirty.
Jackson entered the villa midseason as a newbie and got to choose a date. Torn between Olga and Izzy, Jackson picked the latter, who was smitten beyond belief. However, their date was wildly underwhelming and showed zero chemistry between the two. As such, Jackson opted to stay with Izzy instead.
Georgia & Gerrie
Arguably the most painful moment of the entire season came when Gerrie asked Georgia to be his official girlfriend. In the worst bit of timing ever, Georgia was about to tell Gerrie she just wanted to be friends. Clearly not on the same page, Gerrie's blindsided reaction spoke volumes of profound heartache.
The sad part is Georgia, who was quite noncommittal throughout the series, really seemed into Gerrie when he entered the villa with a beaming smile and positive personality. Likewise, it was love at first sight for Gerrie. However, once Gerrie became too clingy, Georgia instantly severed ties.
Brianna & Obi
As soon as Obi entered the villa as a newbie on the drama-filled Netflix reality show, he asked out original cast member Jaz. When Brianna did the same, she chose to take Nathan on a date, which ruffled Holly's feathers. After failing to work it out with their initial choices, Brianna and Obi linked up and never looked back.
Defined by their ability to communicate clearly and honestly, Brianna and Obi remained loyal to each other for the final three episodes and managed to refrain from breaking any rules. While their relationship bent toward platonic friendship toward the end, their coupledom was solid and never in any real jeopardy.
Izzy & Jackson
Jackson and Izzy were a hot and heavy couple who could barely keep each other's hands off one another on the popular reality dating show. In fact, it didn't take long for the couple to naughtily break Lana's no-contact rules, with Izzy and Jackson'd under-the-covers antics costing them $22,000.
The physical attraction between the two was palpable from the jump, but it was their ability to stay together and get to know each other that proved their longevity as a couple. Jackson and Izzy remained faithful to each other once they began sharing a bed and probably would have gone a lot further in the competition had they met sooner.
Holly & Nathan
Polarizing as it may be, Holly and Nathan were among the two best couples of the entire season of the guilty-pleasure Netflix dating show. Yes, they broke Lana's rules multiple times to the tune of more than $100,000 in penalties. They even broke the ultimate rule and had sex in the villa, dropping the prize pool to zero.
Yet, for all of their lack of physical restraint, there was clearly a natural bond between the two. Holly never once wavered in her loyalty to Nathan, while Nathan resisted temptation twice after going on dates with Olga and Brianna. Moreover, without the couple causing so much drama, season 3 would be nowhere near as much fun as it proved to be.
Best - Beaux & Harry
As evidenced by their ultimate victory, Beaux and Harry were by far the best couple in season 3. The adorable British pair linked up from day one, never wavered, followed the rules to a T, and genuinely spent the time getting to know each other emotionally rather than physically.
Moreover, Harry finally overcame his fear of commitment and asked Beaux to be his official girlfriend during their romantic boat-ride date. The only demerit the couple faced happened when Lana faked a glitch and went offline, during which Harry's alone time in the shower cost them $4,000. Beyond that, Beaux and Harry played the game perfectly and found genuine love in the process.
