Will Too Hot To Handle have a reunion episode? There isn't currently one on Netflix, but it could be in the works if the show continues to explode in popularity.

Too Hot To Handle was released on Netflix on Friday, and already it is the top show on Netflix. This can't come as a surprise, based on the success the streaming service has had with reality television shows in 2020. The first series to break the mold was The Circle. This show dropped at the beginning of the year and was an instant hit. Then came Love Is Blind, which was met with even more acclaim, staying atop the Netflix Top 10 chart for weeks. When Too Hot To Handle was announced, it seemed almost a foregone conclusion that this show would find its spot atop the charts as well. It's not that the show is that good. Rather, it appeals to those who crave shows like The Bachelor, with the option to binge all the fluid relationships and heated arguments within the span of a day or two.

When The Circle released its final episode, the finale included a reunion, where host Michelle Buteau talked with each member of the cast. Love Is Blind didn't originally include a reunion. But the series was such an instant sensation that they ended up filming one and airing it a week after the release of the finale. Tiger King, the latest Netflix chart-topper, did the same thing. Comedian Joel McHale took initiative and hosted a quarantine-themed reunion with some of the favorites from Tiger King (Carole Baskin did not attend, unfortunately). Could Too Hot To Handle do the same with its cast? There were only 14 people who participated, so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to interview some of the favorites.

The issue with this, of course, is bringing everyone together in person. Depending on how long the coronavirus quarantine lasts, a reunion may have to be virtual. This makes it much more doable, but the entertainment value inevitably drops off. Imagine if McHale had gotten all his reunion guests together in one place? Instead he interviewed them one-by-one, and the Tiger King and I ended up falling flat.

We are still in the nascent stages of the Too Hot To Handle boom. The question is whether it will have the staying power of a Love Is Blind and be able to remain as a top Netflix show for multiple weeks. If an in-person reunion does happen, the only rule is that Haley has to be there.
