Netflix's new series Too Hot to Handle is a dating show with the goal of creating deeper connections. Here's the thing though, the premise is very unconventional. The contestants are not allowed to hook up. At all. Yes, there's even a ban on kissing. At least there's a light at the end of the tunnel with a $100,000 prize. But, of course, it's not that simple because, well, that would be boring to watch. Every time people break the rules, that prize money gets lower and lower.
While some people completely followed these stipulations, others didn't mind losing $3,000 on a kiss to find out if the chemistry was there. One of those cast members was Chloe Veitch, one of the most lovable people on the show. It's easy to watch this show and root for Chloe, but at the same time, viewers really don't get to know her that well. She's Had A Tough Life
While she had such a positive attitude on the show, it's not because life has been easy for her. In 2015, Chloe was a recipient of the Young People of the Year award. She won the award because she overcame a lot during a tough year. She stood up to peers who jumped her and cyber bullied her, grieving the brother she lost to alcoholism, supporting her father while he struggled with drug and alcohol use, and dealing with an aunt battling cancer. Chloe's mom Machaela said, "She has been through so much and has had to grow up quicker than she needed to." She channeled her struggles into something positive, speaking at school assemblies.
She Wanted To Be A Lawyer
When Chloe won the Young People of the Year award, she revealed, "I am now focused on my future and am trying to have a good career. Since I was in Year 7 I have wanted to be a lawyer, a barrister, or someone who counsels people who have been in prison and help them get through their bad experiences, like I have.” Chloe isn't a lawyer (yet), but thanks to Netflix, there are more people paying attention to her than ever before, meaning that she has an even better chance of making a positive impact in the world. Chloe has said, "We need to give young people the respect they deserve and set up the best as positive role models for others to copy rather than focusing on the small number who appear in the press for negative reasons."
She Is A Model
Chloe's Instagram page is pretty much all photoshoots, which is pretty much expected for most reality stars. However, Chloe was actually signed by Bame Models in 2018. She also won a modeling pageant called Top Model UK in 2018. Aside from modeling (obviously), another element of the competition was raising money for children with cancer, according to Daily Gazette Evening Standard. After winning the UK pageant, she went on to compete against winners from other countries, ultimately finishing in fourth place.
She Was In A Music Video
Chloe was Amit's love interest in his 2019 music video for the song "Bamb Fodta." After the video's release, Chloe posted, "This was a highlight of my career being able to push my acting skills and to work along side such a talented artist. Got a few more things lined up and already filmed.. keep you’re eyes [peeled]!"
There is a lot more to Chloe than what viewers got to see on Too Hot to Handle. She's far from the stereotypical reality TV star turned social influencer.
