The fire hasn't died in this relationship! Too Hot To Handle star Carly Lawrence revealed she is still dating fellow contestant, Joey Joy. The two started dating towards the end of the show and fans assumed they called it quits once they went back to their real lives. Lawrence became one of the top three contestants of the Netflix show, meaning she had the chance to take home the grand prize of $55,000. The other contestants had to vote for who of the top three finalists they thought deserved the money. Joy didn't vote for Lawrence, even though they were coupled up.
Lawrence had a complicated time during her stay on the island-side villa. The model first fell into a relationship with contestant Chase DeMoor and things seemed to progress quickly and smoothly. However, once Lawrence expressed her concerns about the relationship, DeMoor ended things with her on the spot. The football player quickly moved on to Tabitha Clifft once she joined the cast in episode six. Joy also made his appearance in that episode and Lawrence set her eyes on him. The two shared a kiss, coupled up, shared endless laughs, and even received a green light from Lana.
Now, the Canadian model has revealed to fans that she and Joy are still dating. Lawrence confirmed the status of their relationship in an interview with Narcity. In the interview, she said, "We actually dated for a little bit right after the show. We dated and then we broke up because I'm crazy, and now we're rekindling things, we'll see how it goes." Did the 24-year-old go crazy because she found out Joy didn't vote for her to win the cash prize? Well, she didn't specify that, but it could be a valid reason why things initially ended. Since the borders are closed in Canada, Lawrence is going to visit Joy in his hometown of Miami, Florida before they visit Los Angeles together.
However, Lawrence already has a plan for when the time comes for Joy to visit her. She said she would love to take him to The Chase. No, not her ex Chase from the show. "The Chase is nice, Harbour 60's nice, like a steakhouse, and then maybe go down to the water," Lawrence said. The model also admitted that she is "a big homebody" when she's back home in Toronto, so she doesn't really go out that much. The couple has yet to post pictures confirming their relationship on Instagram, but Lawrence commented on Joy's 4th of July post saying, "Mine."
Quite a few of the couples from this season of Too Hot To Handle are still together, but Lawrence and Joy just make sense. Both on and off the show, nothing seemed forced and the chemistry was clearly there between the two. Lawrence expressed how she needed a nice guy after her breakup with DeMoor and Joy came in like a present wrapped in a bow with his joyful and playful humor. The two are very active on social media, so fans can easily get a play-by-play of the couple's relationship status.
