Even though blockbusters tend to rake in all the big bucks, B-movies have plenty of fans and so do the actors that star in them. Viewer interest is the reason such movies keep getting made every year. And some end up being more interesting than the big-budget films.

Over the years, hundreds of Hollywood actors have appeared in B-movies, but there are a few that stand out. One such actor is the controversial Tommy Wiseau, who also doubles as a director. Here are a couple of other consistent and talented B-movie legends you might not know about.

Daniel Baldwin

He might not be an A-lister like his brother Alec Baldwin, but it does look like he works way harder. In the past decade alone, Daniel starred in 33 direct-to-video movies. The third youngest Baldwin brother clearly enjoys his work.

His biggest career role was that of Detective Beau Felton in the hit NBC police procedural drama series Homicide: Life On The Street. Daniel also spends his time advocating against drug use. He is a former cocaine user who managed to overcome his addiction.

Luis Guzman

Guzman has had a couple of major TV roles, such as that of Pablo Escobar's associate, Jose Gacha, in Narcos. However, most of his movies have been in the direct-to-video category. He also has the honor of being one of those actors that people recognize but can't really name.

His roles are mostly those of gangsters, comedy sidekicks and law enforcement officers. Born in Puerto Rico, the 63-year-old actor has lived in the U.S. for most of his life. Recently, he had a brief appearance in the Epix mob series Godfather Of Harlem.

Cynthia Rothrock

At the same time that popular martial arts action stars, like Chuck Norris and Jackie Chan, were popping up, Cynthia had some buzz as well. However, she never quite managed to appear in any big-budget Hollywood films. This didn't deter her, as she continued to consistently appear in B-movies.

To date, the actress strictly makes martial arts films. Except for her voice work, she rarely switches genres. Cynthia also holds black belt honors in seven different martial arts divisions and works as a part time martial arts teacher.

Rutger Hauer

In the documentary Blond, Blue Eyes (2006), Hauer stated that he turned down many roles in his career because he felt the stories didn't align with his principles. In 1999, he was named the Dutch Actor Of The Century.

Even though he appeared in a number of big-budget films early in his career, he settled for direct-to-video movies and supporting roles in TV shows in the 90s. The late actor was also a humanitarian and the founder of the AIDS awareness organization, The Rutger Hauer Starfish Association.

Armand Assante

BET's Family Business

Assante starred in seven B-movies in 2017 alone and he has appeared in more than 60 other B-movies in his career. More recently, he could be seen in the critically panned drama series Family Business. But Assante is far from being a terrible actor.

In 1996, he received an Emmy for portraying the infamous mobster John Gotti in the HBO TV film Gotti. The now 70-year-old actor got his first role back in 1974 and has mostly been typecast in gangster roles throughout his career.

Emilio Estevez

Emilio is the brother of controversial actor Charlie Sheen and the son of Martin Sheen. Unlike Charlie and Martin, Estevez chose not to change his name. Martin Sheen's birth name is actually Ramón Gerard Antonio Estévez, while Charlie Sheen's birth name is Carlos Irwin Estévez.

Emilio has starred in incredible B-movies, such as Dollar For The Dead and Freejack. He has also been in numerous TV films, one of which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Apart from acting, Emilio also doubles as a film director.

Keith David

David is currently enjoying success courtesy of the Netflix Series Greenleaf, where he plays a bishop named James Greenleaf. But B-movie fans are also very familiar with his face.

David, who got his first role in 1979, has appeared in over 50 movies. His most recent film role is that of a sheriff in the 2018 direct-to-video horror film You Might Be the Killer. His voice-over career is also incredible and he has voiced characters such as Black Panther and Mufasa in animated TV shows.

Tonny Todd

Todd is best known for portraying the serial killer Daniel Robitaille in the 90s horror film Candyman. Other than that, he's mostly been a supporting character in a few blockbusters, as well as numerous direct-to-video films.

The actor has 109 film credits to his name and first began performing in the theater scene, finally getting his first film role in 1986. He has managed to appear in at least three movies a year ever since. His work ethic is definitely something to be admired.

Peter Weller

Weller has had a few iconic roles, such as that of the protagonist Alex Murphy in the original Robocop film and a dirty cop in Sons Of Anarchy, but most of his work has been in B-movies.

He has starred in over 40 films in his career, with only five of these being major blockbusters. Weller was also nominated for on Oscar in 1994 for writing and directing a short film, At the moment, he stars in the Netflix crime drama Longmire

Tommy Wiseau

Tommy Wiseau is best known for starring in what is considered the worst movie ever made - The Room. Apart from this memorable yet weird film, he's had a stellar career in the B-movie industry. Surprisingly, many details about his life remain a mystery, including his date of birth, which he refuses to reveal.

He is also one of the few actors to have movies made about them. The 2017 film The Disaster Artist largely revolved around Wiseau and the making of the movie The Room.
