Spider-Man will be back in his original Stark-made suit for Spider-Man: Far From Home. One of the most common traits of sequels to comic book movies (or any major franchise) is the introduction of new costumes. The change over allows for the studios to make more money off merchandising thanks to the new designs they can trot out into stores. In just three appearances, Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man has had the same amount of suits.
His homemade design has barely been seen, as Tony Stark gave him some new threads in Captain America: Civil War, which Peter Parker then kept for Spider-Man: Homecoming. When it came time to fight Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, though, Stark gave him another upgrade - the Iron Spider suit. There's been some debate over which costume Holland will wear for his sequel, and fans now look to have confirmation.
Tom Holland posted a video on the Instagram account for The Brothers Trust (the charity foundation started by his parents) and he reports straight from the set of Far From Home to announce a chance to visit the set of the film. The part that caught the eyes of many is the suit Holland is sporting in the video. He's seen in the Civil War/Homecoming suit and, since he's on set of the sequel right now, he has confirmed (or "leaked," in typical Holland fashion) that this is the suit Peter will wear in Far From Home.
This should be the best move for Peter Parker at the end of the day, even if it means audienes only got to see the Iron Spider suit for a limited time. One of the charms of Spider-Man is he's a kid learning how to be a hero on the fly. But with the Iron Spider suit, he's practically invincible - except from a fatal snap. Even though this suit has plenty of different modes that can help Peter be the best hero possible, it is still a bit scaled down in comparison to the Iron Spider.
While this is the first time fans have actually seen Holland in costume for Far From Home, this may not be the only suit he wears. Previous Far From Home set videos looked to show Holland in a motion capture suit just as he wore throughout Infinity War, which brought the Iron Spider suit to life. Spidey has to be brought back to life in some way, and he was wearing the Iron Spider suit the last time he was seen. Why he decides to give up the suit remains to be seen, but it looks like he will. Still, we'll have to wait until more information on Spider-Man: Far From Home is made known to know which suits Holland will and will not wear.
