As if the destruction of Asgard wasn't bad enough, Thanos' soldiers also killed half of the Asgardians, including Heimdall and Loki himself. Some fans, particularly those who saw Loki's capabilities in the Thor movies, were dismayed by how easily he was defeated, even if it was expected.
