What has actor Tom Felton done since playing Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter? Felton was one of thirteen actors to appear in all eight Harry Potter movies based on the best-selling series by author J.K. Rowling. The actor's portrayal of the villainous teenage wizard greatly helped launch his acting career to new levels.

Before Felton was cast in the role of Draco, the young actor auditioned to play Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, but he fit the role of Malfoy perfectly. Having read some of the Harry Potter books already released, Felton never hesitated to make alterations and suggestions for his character. Felton helped make the Slytherin a fan-favorite despite being the enemy of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

Felton's debuted as Draco in 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and he appeared in every film until the series ended in 2011. Unlike some of his co-stars, Felton had a body of work before acquiring the role in Harry Potter. He'd starred in a number of TV and film projects including The Borrowers, Anna and the King, and Second Sight. His work didn't stop during his time with the Harry Potter franchise either. Across the 2000s, Felton appeared in Home Farm Twins and three feature films: The Disappeared, Get Him to the Greek, and 13Hrs. Felton's career didn't slow down after Harry Potter ended either.

The same year as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, Felton appeared in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. He then starred in a number of notable films including The Apparition, Against the Sun, Risen, Message from the King, and A United Kingdom. More recently, Felton appeared in Feed, Stratton, and 2018's Ophelia, alongside Daisy Ridley.

Aside from film, Felton kept up with work on television. In 2013, the actor starred in two miniseries, Labyrinth and Full Circle. The following year, Felton portrayed the main role in Murder in the First. His most notable TV role came in 2016 when he joined the CW's The Flash as Julian Albert aka Alchemy, a recurring role for season 3. Following Felton's time on The Flash, he played the lead role in the YouTube Premium series, Origin.

Next up, Felton will be seen in the upcoming film, Whaling. The comedy directed by Sean McEwen stars Felton and Tammin Sursok (Pretty Little Liars) as a dysfunctional brother and sister that are forced to face each other as part of their deceased mother's final wish. The movie also stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Koechner, and Austin Swift. Felton will always be linked to Harry Potter but there's no doubt that the actor is making a name for himself outside of the franchise.
