Tom Bergeron is thrilled to hear that Dancing With The Stars is bringing back producer Conrad Green, as he calls it their best decision. Green was an executive producer on the show from 2005, when the series premiered, through 2013, when he exited the show. When the producer left, he was replaced by Rob Wade, who stayed until 2017, when Andrew Llinares took over the producer role. Unfortunately, Llinares was the producer who clashed with Tom leading to his firing in 2019. Rumors first spread in early June that Green was in talks to return to the show. Tom immediately expressed his excitement on Twitter about the producer's potential DWTS return.

After Tom's departure, due to disagreements with the show's choice to cast Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on the show, former America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks took over. While Tyra brought her big personality and high energy each week, fans had mixed reactions to Tyra's behavior on DWTS. While some cast from the show praised Tyra, like former contestant Cody Rigsby and judge Carrie Ann Inaba, fans spent most of season 30 complaining about her. DWTS fans felt Tyra was too over the top and, on multiple occasions, was disrespectful towards contestants. Some of Tyra's biggest criticism was that she talked over contestants, especially during elimination, and she embarrassed gymnast Suni Lee on an episode when she was dealing with an illness and had to run off stage after her performance.

With the show moving to Disney+ and rumors Tyra might be replaced, they're also bringing back their former executive producer, and Tom thinks DWTS has made the right choice. The show announced on June 27 that Green would be back for season 31, and Tom responded in a Tweet saying, "Best decision they've made since 2005, when they hired him the first time," adding a winky face and hand clapping emoji to express his excitement. Since rumors of Tyra's exit hit the internet, everyone has been wondering if Tom will return as host. While he hasn't given a clear answer, Tom once again responded to a fan wondering if he'll ever come back.

A fan responded to Tom's initial tweet, saying she hopes to see him back on the show. Tom gave no clear response and simply said, "So, to paraphrase Shakespeare, "TB or not TB, that is the question." In April, about a month after DWTS announced Llinares' departure, Tom seemed to hint that he would not be returning to the show. When a fan on Twitter asked, the former host responded that the fan should read Thomas Wolfe's novels. The author has published several stories following a character who leaves his hometown, and though he sometimes has an urge to go back, he decides to follow his dreams instead. Fans assumed the reference meant Tom does not have plans to return to DWTS.

Tom certainly loves seeing Llinares go and for things to return to how they used to be. The former host loved his job, and even if he doesn't return for season 31, he seems to have no bad blood with his old co-workers. Luckily for fans, Tom hasn't officially announced he won't rejoin the show, so just like how the old producer came back, there's still hope Tom may one day return. For someone who doesn't plan on returning to the show, he seems very invested in the show's news as he often tweets it out for his followers. Perhaps he's not as done with DWTS as he claims to be.
