Todd Chrisley's estranged daughter, Lindsie Chrisley, says that her dad never attempted to reach out to her for a reunion. In the wake of all of the legal issues that the Chrisley family has faced, more allegations against Growing Up Chrisley patriarch have been revealed.
Last week, the comedic host and reality TV star Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, have been indicted by a grand jury on tax evasion charges. The couple was indicted on 12 counts - including wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States. The pair are facing upwards of 30 years in prison; however, the couple posted bond and maintain their innocence. And the drama doesn't stop there. Just days after the indictment, it was revealed that Todd's daughter, Lindsie, had gone to the police to file a report against her father and her brother, Chase Chrisley, accusing them of exploiting her with an alleged sex tape in order to get her to lie for her father. Both Todd and Chase maintained that Lindsie was merely spreading lies and that the allegations were false. While trying to clear his name about allegedly blackmailing his daughter, he revealed two former Bachelorette stars - Robby Hayes and Josh Murray - with whom she allegedly had extramarital affairs during her marriage to Will Campbell. Todd even went as far as to reveal that the rumored sex tape was between his daughter and Hayes.
Lindsie's attorney Musa Ghaneyem spoke out to People after Todd's accusations against his client, saying, "Unfortunately, certain members of her family will not let her live in peace," then went on to say that Lindsie is "flabbergasted at the audacity of Todd and Chase Chrisley, who are more focused on attacking my client rather than defending themselves against the allegations of criminal conduct." In the wake of some strong and damning allegations Todd and Lindsie have alleged about each other, Lindsie claims that "there is an ongoing issue with her family threatening and harassing her" and that was part of the reason why she has decided to separate herself from her family. The Growing Up Chrisley star revealed the relationship between she and her father has been nonexistent since distancing herself in 2017. In the response to Lindsie's allegations of extortion against her father, Todd said, "As I’ve said all along, Lindsie is my daughter and I love her, and that’s not going to change."
Ghaneyem confirmed the state of the relationship between Todd and Lindsie, saying that they haven't seen each other "for a while." The attorney went on to say that the likelihood of a father and daughter reunion amid the sex-tape extortion scandal is unlikely. He spoke of the relationship in the past years, saying, "Lindsie never had a sincere gesture from her father." He spoke on Lindsie's behalf in regard to what would happen if Todd would reach out to his client, saying, "We don’t even know how to react if she was given a sincere opportunity to reunite."
Even though Lindsie's lawyer didn't clearly state a confirmation or denial if asked for an opportunity for reconciliation, the father-daughter relationship could go either way. Since there have been plenty alleged lies being told about both of them, it's still unclear what would happen if the Growing Up Chrisley star would reach out sincerely to his daughter about reconciliation. It would mean that she would have to forgive her estranged father of all of the accusations against her reputation and her marriage, and even then it might be difficult to mend a broken father-daughter relationship.
