When To All The Boys I've Loved Before released on Netflix back in 2018 no one knew how big the movie series would become. Sure, the movies were inspired by Jenny Han's best-selling novel which had quite the fan base but even that couldn't prepare the cast and crew for what was about to happen. Fast forward four years and the third and final movie, To All The Boys: Always and Forever, released to great success.

There's no denying that Lara Jean (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) have become the best romantic comedy couples of all time. In fact, some might say they're the latest incarnations of Noah and Allie. Their relationship hasn't always been easy but these two have proven that if you love someone you can get through anything together. With the final film released, it's the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane and revisit the best moments Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky have shared together.

The First Contract

Lara Jean and Peter's love story is anything but traditional but it's iconic nonetheless. After Lara Jean's love letters get sent out she's determined to avoid having to explain things to Josh, her sister's ex-boyfriend who also received a love letter. At the same time, Peter is looking for any way to make his ex-girlfriend Gen jealous whom he still loves. And so, Lara Jean and Peter agree to help each other out by "fake dating."

Without the fake contract, Lara Jean and Peter may have never gotten together in the first place and that's why it's one of their best relationship moments.

Peter And Lara Jean Being Honest And Open With Each Other

Even though Peter and Lara Jean weren't a "real" couple for most of the first movie, that didn't stop them from having a lot of real and relatable moments with each other. A fan favorite has always been the conversation Lara Jean and Peter have together after she has dinner with his family.

In the scene, Peter opens up to Lara Jean about how he feels knowing his father left him to start a new family. Lara Jean listens and also opens up about her own struggles with the reality that her mom is no longer around. These two might not be in love with each other yet, but they certainly trust each other which is even more important.

The Hot Tub Scene

The Hot Tub Scene

While the hot tub scene in To All The Boys I've Loved Before got some bad press in To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You it's still an iconic moment in Lara Jean and Peter's relationship.

Even though the audience can tell these two have fallen for each other, this is the first time Lara Jean and Peter admit it to each other. The contract may have been the start of their friendship, but the hot tub scene is the true beginning of their real relationship with each other.

Their First Real Date

While Peter and Lara Jean went on a few dates together in the first movie, none of them were real. At least, not according to Lara Jean. Determined to give her the first date she deserves, Peter pulls out all the stops in the opening scenes of To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

Peter starts by showing up to pick Lara Jean up with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He then takes her to eat at a fancy restaurant before ending the night at a lantern festival where they write their initials on a floating lantern. It's a romantic scene straight out of a Disney movie and fans absolutely loved it.

Peter Giving Lara Jean The Necklace

Lara Jean may be the Queen of romance but fans learned quickly never to underestimate Peter Kavinsky. On their first Valentine's Day as a real couple, Peter surprises Lara Jean with a beautiful necklace (and a poem which turns out to cause a bit of trouble for these two love-sick teenagers).

The necklace becomes a defining item in Lara Jean and Peter's relationship. In fact, she's hardly without except for when Peter and her break up briefly in To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

Peter Coming To Drive Lara Jean Home Because It's Snowing

Peter comes to drive Lara Jean home

Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky go through a lot of rough moments in To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. Lara Jean becomes confused about her feelings for Peter when her former crush comes back into town; meanwhile, Peter is still trying to navigate his changing relationship with Gen. This leads the two to eventually break up.

However, not even a break up can keep Peter and Lara Jean apart. Realizing it's snowing, Peter drives over to the nursing home where Lara Jean is hosting a party since he knows she hates driving in the snow. Peter arrives just as Lara Jean is running to reunite with him and in the end, fans get one of the best Peter Kavinsky quotes of all time.

The Promposal

Any high school couple knows that a big moment in their relationship is going to Senior Prom together. And while proposals are definitely a major life milestone in a couple's life, promposals are just as important and memorable.

In To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Peter asks Lara Jean to prom in the most "Covinsky" way possible. The two go out to eat at the Corner Cafe where Peter surprised Lara Jean with a plate of pancakes with the words prom spelled out in strawberries. And of course, Peter gets down on one knee to really sell the cheesiness.

The Meet Cute

One of the best moments of Lara Jean and Peter's relationships happened before they even knew they were going to become a couple in the first place. After expressing her sadness in the fact that Peter and she don't have a "meet-cute" story, Peter tells Lara Jean that he does remember the first time they met.

Through a flashback scene, fans are transported to middle school where Lara Jean is about to accept an award for perfect attendance when her hair gets stuck to her chair. Lucky for her, her future knight in shining armor Peter Kavinsky is sitting behind her and helps her untangle it. The scene is so sweet and innocent but certainly seals the deal that Peter always loved Lara Jean, even if he didn't realize it.

The Second Contract

The new contract Peter wrote in Lara Jean's yearbook

Lara Jean and Peter's love story began with a fake dating contract and as such, it was only fitting that the next phase of their relationship started with a new contract. After breaking up in To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Peter has a change of heart and writes Lara Jean a love letter in her yearbook that leads into a new contract.

This new contract has them promise to support each other and stay together over the next four years of college even though they'll be 3,000 miles apart. Of course, Lara Jean signs the contract just like they did the first time and the two promise to love each other always and forever.

Peter And Lara Jean Dancing To Their Song

Every couple has a song that defines their relationship, every couple but Peter and Lara Jean it seems. Thus, Peter and Lara Jean embark on a mission to find their perfect song. They try everything from searching playless to letting their beloved diner's jukebox decide but ultimately they keep ending up short. That is, until, Lara Jean attends a college party and falls in love with a song being performed there.

Peter isn't too thrilled that Lara Jean found their song without him but he redeems himself in the end by surprising Lara Jean after her dad's wedding and plays the song. Together, the two have their first dance to their song and the moment is picture-perfect.
