In TMNT: Shredder's Revengeone of the bosses that the half-shell heroes will face is Dirtbag, a classic villain from the original television series. Dirtbag is a mole that was affected by a mutagen, turning him from a small woodland creature into the humanoid-animal henchman of Shredder. In TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, the mutant mole uses attacks that are representative of his iconic character, making him one of the perfect villains to face in the classic beat 'em up style game.

The TMNT won't face Dirtbag in Shredder's Revenge until the end of Episode 4, "Rumble in the Zoo." As the half-shell heroes progress through the level while jamming out to the TMNT: Shredder's Revenge soundtrack and defeating minor enemies, Episode 4 also has additional challenges for players to complete. Specifically, there are three optional challenges that the TMNT can complete through "Rumble in the Zoo." The first is to complete the level without getting grabbed more than five times, the second is not getting hurt more than four times from obstacles, and the final is to defeat three Foot Soldiers by using fling slams.

Additionally, as the TMNT progress through the zoo to stop Dirtbag, there are four hidden items that can be found as well. The secret diary, a disgusting bug, a Classic Headline, and Attila's cameo are all featured secrets throughout Episode 4. While finding these items won't necessarily add to the nostalgia in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, they are an additional feature that helps create more activities to complete in the game. The secret diary's location is inside a trashcan to the right of a bench near Foot Soldiers that are eating popsicles. Attila's cameo can be found by smashing the two mailboxes near the zoo's entrance. The disgusting bug is also inside a trashcan, but it is also in front of the monkey cage. The Classic Headline is located on a display stand at the end of the monkey cages.

How To Defeat Dirtbag In TMNT: Shredder's Revenge

Groundchuck and Dirtbag are a pair of bosses in TMNT's Shredders Revenge

In addition to fighting Dirtbag, the TMNT will also have to face Groundchuck at the same time. Dirtbag's attacks involve him digging a hole in the ground to reposition and smacking the heroes with a shovel from below, hitting the TMNT with a shovel above the ground, and blinding everyone with the light from his helmet. Six-player mode in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge will be the easiest way to defeat Dirtbag and his accomplice, but solo players may find it more challenging to take on two bosses at once.

For those who are playing solo or with one other player, it is recommended to focus on Dirtbag's attacks first and ignore Groundchuck for the time being. The reverse may allow Dirtbag to keep attacking the TMNT without being seen since the mole spends much of the fight underground. Afterward, focus on Groundchuck, and the infamous henchmen of Shredder will fall to the TMNT.
