Titans star Joshua Orpin has recreated Conner Kent's (aka Superboy) look from the comics. Though Orpin hasn't yet made an appearance in the series, Superboy will make his official debut in season 2 alongside his pet dog Krypto.

The first season of DC Universe's Titans introduced major DC characters, including Robin, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy. Based on the Teen Titans comics, the series takes a grittier approach to the source material, going so far as to include profanity and graphic violence - a far cry from the kid-friendly material implemented in the comics and the animated TV series Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!. Now that season 1 is wrapped up, the finale hinted at things to come in season 2 - namely the introduction of Superboy and Krypto. And, with anticipation growing, fan-made images have been popping up showing how a live-action Superboy may look. In response, Orpin went ahead and gave fans the real thing.

Orpin posted a photo on his personal Twitter account in which he is facing his back to the camera showing off the profile of his face while pointing at a yellow "S" taped haphazardly onto his shirt. Thomas Polito of Geeks Worldwide shared the photo side-by-side on Twitter with an image of Superboy from a variant comic cover from artist Babs Tarr. The caption on Orpin's post reads: "A lot of fakes popping up lately... But there's only one Superboy." Check out the side-by-side images below:

As it so happens, Titans isn't the only DC series giving attention to Superboy and Krypto. The DC Universe series Doom Patrol has also nodded to the characters in the show's second episode, "Donkey Patrol." More of an Easter egg than a direct shout-out, it happens while Cyborg (Joivan Wade) is scanning for crimes. He happens upon a situation involving a car collision that was reportedly caused by a man and his dog - a man and dog who fit the bill for Superboy and Krypto. Though it hasn't been confirmed, the strong coincidence makes it highly likely, especially since they'll be making their DC Universe debuts sooner than later.

Though DC Universe might have seemed like a risky move, considering the DCEU had a bit of a rough start and has had to unofficially soft-reboot itself, the streaming service has been successful so far in giving fans what they want. Not afraid to embrace a bold, stylized approach, the first two live-action series that DC Universe has put out have proven successful among fans, and growing the DC world with the introduction of classic characters like Superboy should continue to keep things interesting into the coming season.
