Raven actress Teagan Croft responds to theories about her character and Beast Boy having a romance in Titans. After being off the air for almost a full year, Titans will finally be back next month as HBO Max is set to premiere season 4. This season, Nightwing and his band of heroes will take on one of the most iconic villains in the Teen Titans mythology. After having faced Trigon, Deathstroke, and Scarecrow, Joseph Morgan's Brother Blood will be the team's next big bad, which will also see the introduction of the Church of Blood.While the team has evolved over the last few years, the line-up for Titans season 4 will focus more on Nightwing, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Superboy, and their newest recruit, Tim Drake. Even though it has yet to be properly confirmed, Tim is most likely going to pick up the mantle as the next Robin after Jay Lycurgo teased a brief look at his character sporting a dominion mask. With Brother Blood as the central villain in Titans season 4, the heroes will also have their hands full with Jinx, Mother Mayhem, as well as the arrival of Lex Luthor.HBO Max recently debuted new footage for Titans season 4, part 1, which will premiere on November 3, and fans are already theorizing what's going on with the new season. However, one speculated plot point that will not be happening is a supposed romance between Ryan Potter's Beast Boy and Croft's Raven. When a fan assumed that the two Titans characters were getting together, Croft took to Twitter to debunk the theory, despite the two heroes being involved romantically in the comics. Titans Season 4 Needs To Flesh Out Raven After Season 3
While a Raven/Beast Boy romance isn't happening, Titans season 4 needs to give Rachel Roth some due screentime. For most of Titans season 3, Raven was heavily absent, as she was on Themyscira, and didn't unite with her allies until the end of the year. Despite being a Titans series regular, Croft's character only appeared in 5 of the 13 episodes, and it was never properly explained why she was absent for so many installments. However, since Titans season 4 will pit the heroes against Brother Blood, a supernatural-based villain, it will ideally give Raven plenty to do when the show comes back.
Even though Titans season 4 is setting up multiple plot points and villains, it's still unclear if there will be a season 5. Despite being present at New York Comic Con this past weekend, the cast and crew didn't indicate if Titans season 4 is being eyed as the last one as many shake-ups at HBO Max since the Warner Bros. Discovery merger completed earlier this year occurred. It will, however, be interesting to see how the new format for Titans works out, as season 4 will go on a break after airing its first six episodes before Doom Patrol season 4, part 1 premieres in December. Hopefully, both Titans season 4, part 1 and part 2, will see some character development for Raven as the heroes get ready for their biggest war yet.
