Titans actor Curran Walters gives a close-up look at his Red Hood mask for season 3. The Teen Titans series premiered on DC Universe in 2018 as the first live-action show for the streamer, though season 3 will make the jump to HBO Max. Titans season 3 was initially expected to debut this fall, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed the start of production by several months. Fortunately, filming is currently underway, meaning fans can expect Titans to premiere sometime in 2021. Already, they have an idea of what to expect from season 3, which will introduce new characters and offer fresh takes on old ones.

In the latter category is Walters' Jason Todd. Walters was upgraded to be a series regular for season 2, and the finale saw Jason make a rather drastic choice in walking away from the Titans. Fans were left wondering what would become of the onetime Robin, and they got their answer at DC FanDome this summer: Jason will become Red Hood. In the comics, Jason is killed by the Joker, but following his resurrection via Lazarus Pit, he adopts the vigilante persona Red Hood. Walters has previously shared his excitement about a potential Red Hood storyline, and it's safe to say fans are equally thrilled.

Walters got into the Halloween spirit yesterday by posting a picture of him in costume. Well, mostly in costume. The actor shared a close-up photo of his Red Hood mask, giving fans a better look at the finer details. In addition to the comics accurate white eyes, it's hard to miss the cracks on the right side. Looks like Jason got into a rather brutal fight. Check out the picture down below.

Last week, Titans unveiled the first look at the Red Hood costume. Despite not being completely accurate to the comics, the Red Hood design largely thrilled fans and raised excitement for season 3. As of right now, there's no definitive release date planned, but Titans season 3 could very well end up premiering by summertime. In the meantime, fans can likely expect more Red Hood teases, especially since Jason's arc is one of the most anticipated parts of the season.

As the first live-action project to bring Red Hood to life, there's a lot of anticipation surrounding Titans season 3. It will notably skip one key part of Red Hood's comic book evolution: Jason's death at the hands of the Joker. Fans are curious about how Jason's journey will play out without that major step, but so far, Titans hasn't shared any hints. Hopefully more information will be revealed as fans wait for season 3 to arrive on HBO Max.
