Titans season 3 is shaking things up with its cast, including several new actors joining the series as big DC characters alongside the returning players. While DC Universe may no longer produce original shows, Titans is not going anywhere, as it has moved over to HBO Max. The first two seasons spent a lot of time exploring Dick Grayson overcoming his inner demons. As Dick worked on finding a new path, he also revived the Titans group by bringing new and old heroes together.

Since Titans season 2 concluded in late 2019, fans had to wait longer than usual for the third season. Season 3 was initially planned to premiere in fall 2020, but the global pandemic forced production to be delayed, which was the case for many studios. Despite having to work under difficult circumstances, the Titans creators have a lot in store for the third season.

While Titans is making a big switch from DC Universe to HBO Max, there is also a big move happening in the actual show as the heroes are relocating from San Francisco to Gotham City. Following everything that went down in the last season, Titans season 3 is about to get darker and more personal for the heroes. While most of the cast from the first two seasons are back, there is also a handful of new additions with vital parts in Titans season 3.

Savannah Welch As Commissioner Barbara Gordon

Barbara Gordon looks up from her wheelchair in Titans.

One of the most iconic Bat-Family members joining Titans season 3 is Barbara Gordon, played by Savannah Welch, becoming the first actress to play the character since Dina Meyers in The WB’s Birds of Prey in 2002. However, Titans' version of Barbara is neither Batgirl nor Oracle; instead, she is the newly-appointed GCPD commissioner since her father's death. Besides Titans, Welch has appeared in major films like The Tree of LifeBoyhood, and Song to Song.

Vincent Kartheiser As Dr. Jonathan Crane

Titans Scarecrow Vincent Kartheiser

While a few Bat-Family allies are joining the show, this season also features the latest live-action version of Jonathan Crane, played by Vincent Kartheiser. Although he may not be suited up as Scarecrow, Jonathan has been helping the GCPD while locked up at Arkham Asylum. Outside Titans season 3, Kartheiser is best known for his character Pete Campbell on Mad Men, which lasted for seven seasons. Kartheiser’s body of work also includes Angel, Alaska, and The Social Dilemma

Brenton Thwaites As Dick Grayson/Nightwing

Joshua Orpin as Conner Smiling Security Guard Brenton Thwaites as Nightwing Titans

Although it took two seasons for Dick to become Nightwing, Brenton Thwaites’ character is in a better place at the start of Titans season 3. While Dick may have succeeded in stepping out of Bruce’s shadow, he will be tested in the city he so desperately tried to escape. Aside from portraying Nightwing on Titans, Thwaites has appeared in several films, including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No TalesMaleficentOffice Uprising, and Ghosts of War.

Anna Diop As Koriand'r/Starfire

Starfire raises her hand in Titans.

Titans season 3 will be focusing a bit more on Anna Diop's Starfire, given that one of the main villains is directly related to the heroine. Even though Diop has been a cast member since Titans season 1, this season is looking to be Starfire's biggest one yet. Some of Diop's notable credits include 24: Legacy, The Messengers, and Greenleaf. Diop was also featured in the horror film Us by director Jordan Peele in 2019.

Teagan Croft As Rachel Roth/Raven

Raven gazes in the distance in her new white costume in Titans.

Although it was confirmed Teagan Croft is returning for Titans season 3, Rachel Roth, a.k.a. Raven, is nowhere to be found in the first three episodes. Beast Boy did reference that Rachel is trying to resurrect Wonder Girl on Themyscira. While Titans is Croft’s most notable role, the young actress had worked on the movie The Osiris Child and appeared in the popular Australian soap, Home and Away.

Ryan Potter As Gar Logan/Beast Boy

While Beast Boy spent most of the second season being brainwashed by Project Cadmus, it looks like Titans season 3 will be a better one for Ryan Potter's character. Outside of Titans, Potter is hugely known for voicing Hiro Hamada in Big Hero 6, and he reprised the role in the TV spinoff show. Potter is also voicing Kenji Kon on Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous.

Conor Leslie As Donna Troy/Wonder Girl

Doona Troy from Titans is trapped in a car.

Despite her death last season, Titans season 3 will see Conor Leslie back as Donna Troy. It remains to be seen if Raven succeeds in resurrecting Wonder Girl or if Donna comes back in a different way. Before becoming the first actress to play Donna live-action, Leslie had recurred on shows like The Man In The High Castle, Graves, and recently starred in the movie Dark Web: Cicada 3301.

Curran Walters As Jason Todd/Robin/Red Hood

Curran Walters as Jason Todd aka Red Hood In Titans Season 3

One of the reasons why Titans season 3 is a challenging one for the heroes is because they are fighting a former ally: Jason Todd, played by Curran Walters. After his run-in with Joker, Jason has become the antihero Red Hood, who is wreaking chaos in Gotham City. Before Titans, Walters was a lead on Too Close to Home and appeared in a few Game of Silence and Girl Meets World episodes.

Joshua Orpin As Conner Kent/Superboy

Titans Superboy

Joshua Orpin's Conner Kent was one of the new members in Titans season 2, and similar to Beast Boy, Superboy became Project Cadmus' slave until the heroes saved them. Hopefully, both of them will survive the challenges of living in Gotham City. Titans is Orpin's biggest gig to date as the Australian actor appeared on PreacherUpright, and worked on the movie High Point.

Alan Ritchson As Hank Hall/Hawk

While things got intense between Hawk and Dove last season, Alan Ritchson's Hank Hall is still back in Titans season 3. Ritchson's credits also include Blue Mountain State and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films from producer Michael Bay. Before Ritchson boarded Titans, the actor had already played Arthur Curry/Aquaman on Smallville. The actor also starred alongside Titans' Leslie in Dark Web: Cicada 3301, and he worked together with Thwaites on Ghosts of War.

Minka Kelly As Dawn Granger/Dove

Despite her complicated relationship with Hawk, Titans season 3 has Minka Kelly's Dawn Granger back the crime-fighting DC heroine. While Titans is one of Kelly's big credits, the actress is best known as Lyla Garrity from NBC's Friday Night Lights. Kelly's notable gigs include Almost Human, Parenthood, Jane the Virgin, 500 Days of Summer, and The Butler.

Damaris Lewis As Blackfire

Red Hood isn’t the only major villain of Titans season 3, as Blackfire is also coming after the heroes, specifically her sister Starfire. Portrayed by Demaris Lewis, Titans season 2 began setting up the conflict between the Tamaran sisters before Blackfire eventually came to Earth. Before joining the DC Universe, Lewis had starred in films like BlacKkKlansman, See You Yesterday, Fatale and recurred in Pose season 2.

Jay Lycurgo As Tim Drake

Tim Drake looks over his shoulder in Titans.

Tim Drake has been portrayed multiple times in animation, but Titans season 3 mark his live-action debut, with Jay Lycurgo bringing the third Robin to life. While Titans is Lycurgo's first major TV role, the actor is no stranger to the DC Universe. Prior to getting cast on the HBO Max drama, Lycurgo landed a role in The Batman, as he's one of the gang members seen in the teaser trailer. Lycurgo has appeared in multiple TV shows outside his DC gigs, including War of the Worlds, I May Destroy You, and Doctors.

Iain Glen As Bruce Wayne

With the heroes moving to Gotham City, it was inevitable that Iain Glen’s Bruce Wayne would return this season. However, Bruce’s storyline takes a very dark turn after Joker kills Jason in Titans season 3. While Bruce Wayne is an iconic role for the actor, Glen is most famous for playing Ser Jorah Mormont on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Glen also has notable TV and film credits that include Downton Abbey, Doctor Who, Prisoners' Wives, and several Resident Evil movies.

Titans season 3 releases new episodes every Thursday on HBO Max.
