A new clip from the upcoming Titans season finale reveals that the show's iteration of Bruce Wayne has a past with Selina Kyle. Titans, a darker reboot of the classic series Teen Titans, was created by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti and premiered in 2018. It stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Kory Anders as Starfire, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Teagan Croft as Raven, Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, Curran Walters as Jason Todd, and Savannah Welch as Barbara Gordon.

The Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths" revealed that the series takes place on Earth-9, which is in a different continuity than the other DC properties out right now. This universe's version of Bruce Wayne, AKA Batman, is mainly an offscreen presence in Titans, though when he is seen he is played by Iain Glen. While his mentorship of Dick Grayson AKA Robin is in line with many DC Comics properties, there are still many mysteries about who this version of Batman is.

At the global live stream fan event DC FanDome 2021, HBO Max debuted a brand new sneak peek at the season 3 finale of Titans that unraveled one of those mysteries. The clip shows Dick and Tim guiding Gar over a walkie-talkie while he attempts to get into a computer system at Wayne Manor. The computer's security question asks the user who is "the one that got away." Gar guesses multiple iconic Batman villains, but it turns out that the password is "Selina Kyle." Check out the clip below:

Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, is a prominent figure in the DC universe at large. The cat burglar anti-heroine often finds herself entangled in a love-hate relationship with Batman. She's made many appearances in previous DC comics properties, but has most recently been played by Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises and Cameron Bicondova in Gotham. She will also be appearing in 2022's The Batman, played by Zoë Kravitz.

This is the first mention that the series has made to the iconic character of Catwoman. It's unclear if this is just a wink to fans of the comics or a declaration that the show intends to eventually feature her as a character. However, Titans has been renewed for season 4, so there is ample opportunity for Selina Kyle to make an appearance in the flesh. Regardless, this is an important glimpse into the history of the particular Batman that exists within the universe of Titans.
