Wonder Girl fans rejoice—panelists at DC FanDome have hinted at Donna Troy's (Conor Leslie) return in season 3 of TitansThe DC Universe show follows the adventures of the new and old Titans team, both of which are headed by Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), aka Nightwing.

The controversial season 2 finale was a shock for many fans, particularly with Donna Troy's death, which seemingly came out of nowhere. After Dick Grayson manages to kill Deathstroke, the gang squares off with Cadmus at a fairground. Although the Titans are able to win the fight against Cadmus, the scene wraps with a transmission tower falling towards some innocent civilians; in response, Donna Troy leaps forward to catch the tower and is subsequently electrocuted. After the finale aired, Donna's death was almost universally criticized by fans, who felt that the way she died was not only illogical but disrespectful for a character who has been such a staple on Titans.

Titans panel from DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse has teased Donna's eventual return in season 3. More specifically, Conor Leslie was on the Titans panel, which immediately aroused suspicion from moderator Damian Holbrook. As a result, when executive producer Greg Walker was asked about Leslie's participation, he says that the show will be "skirt[ing] some of the normal life and death rules." In addition, Walker revealed that season 3 of Titans will look more at the concepts of both the underworld and the afterlife.

Titans Season 2 Donna Troy

Although Walker didn't provide specifics about how or if Donna will return from the dead, he did imply that Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft), aka Raven, will play a part in her resurrection. That being said, when Holbrook inquired about the use of a Lazarus Pit, Walker declined to comment. He did, however, say that if Donna Troy does return, she will be deeply impacted by her experience. For many fans, this is an indication that Donna's return will signal her shift away from her identity as Wonder Girl and will instead begin her transformation into Troia.

While Walker's statement isn't a direct confirmation that Donna Troy will return, it's another hint for fans to ponder over. At the end of season 2, Rachel accompanies Donna's coffin to Themyscira, the home of the Amazons; with Donna's body still intact, there's a distinct possibility that reincarnation may be in the cards. Yet even if Titans fans need to wait until season 3 to discover Donna Toy's eventual fate, viewers remain optimistic that this isn't the last they've seen of this warrior.
