Marvel's She-Hulk: Attorney At Law features the comic villain Titania, one of Jennifer Walters' biggest villains who is also connected to Doctor Doom. The last Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 Disney+ show marks the end of a long drought for Hulk-focused content. Instead of keeping the attention on Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, She-Hulk puts his cousin Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) at the center as she balances her successful legal career and newfound Hulk powers.

The latest MCU series continues to show how different Marvel's Disney+ content can be. Made in the style of a 30-minute legal comedy, She-Hulk adopts the villain of the week premise as Jennifer Walters tackles new cases. However, there is an overarching story at play with Titania (Jameela Jamil) at the center. She-Hulk encounters Titania early on in her journey of understanding what it means to be a superhero. While there are a variety of other Marvel villains set to appear in She-Hulk, like Abomination (Tim Roth), it seems that Titania will be the "main villain" of the show that Jennifer Walters repeatedly interacts with.

Although Titania is a new MCU villain, she and She-Hulk have an extensive shared history in the comics. They have had some notable clashes as a result. Titania also holds connections to major Marvel characters like Doctor Doom too. The MCU's Titania is not a direct adaptation from the source material, though, as Marvel changed Jameela Jamil's villain in a few major ways. Here's everything we know about She-Hulk's villain Titania.

Titania's Comic Powers & She-Hulk Rivalry Explained

Titania fights She-Hulk in Marvel Comics.

Titania joined the Marvel Comics universe in 1984 when Jim Shooter and Mike Zeck created her. Known as Mary MacPherran, Titania debuted in Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #3. Her comic origin begins as a young girl in Colorado who was often picked on for her small stature. This created Mary's desire to become a Marvel superhero, so she would finally be loved and strong. Titania's powers include super strength and superhuman stamina and durability. She's grown stronger over the years to be able to lift 100 tons.

Once Titania got powers, it did not take long for her She-Hulk rivalry to begin. Jennifer Walters was the first person Titania fought after gaining superpowers. She lost this fight and one against Spider-Man shortly thereafter due to her arrogance. Titania later began destroying Washington D.C. just to get She-Hulk's attention for a long-awaited rematch. She-Hulk repeatedly defeats Titania during these fights, leading Mary to promise not to attack her again. This did not last, as Titania's continued criminal activities led to more fights with She-Hulk. One such clash included them fighting over an Infinity Stone, where Titania won the first fight and She-Hulk faked her death in the rematch to reclaim the stone.

How Titania Connects To Doctor Doom

Doctor Doom Stan Lee Interview

Titania holds a massive connection to Doctor Doom in the comics. Since Mary was not born with powers, her desire to be a superhero included lying about being Spider-Woman. The truth came out when the real Spider-Woman saved Mary and her friends during the start of Secret Wars. This led to Doctor Doom finding Mary in Battleworld and recruiting her to join his cause, promising her incredible powers in return for her loyalty. Doom used alien technology to transform Mary with meta-human abilities, making her taller, more muscular, and more confident. Mary's transformation at Doctor Doom's hand resulted in the creation of Titania. She fought for Doom during Secret Wars and repeatedly worked with the major Marvel villain afterward.

Since the MCU's Doctor Doom is not yet introduced, it is unclear if Titania will be linked to him. Considering the villain's role in the Secret Wars comic event and Marvel's plan to make Fantastic Four and Avengers: Secret Wars in Phase 6, it would seem likely that Doom is coming sooner than later. So, if Doctor Doom is not responsible for Titania's powers in the MCU, there is still the chance that they will interact as part of Marvel's grand plan.

How She-Hulk Changes Titania For The MCU

Jameela Jamil as Titania in She-Hulk

The MCU's Titania in She-Hulk is different from the character comic readers might be familiar with. Her origin is expected to be different to separate her powers from Doctor Doom. The MCU has plenty of opportunities to give Titania a new source for her powers, which could include a version of Captain America's super soldier serum. One of the notable updates for Titania is her place as a social media influencer in the MCU. Since the comics had Mary chase fame and fortune by posing as a superhero, the change to have social media and her influencer status be responsible for Titania's notoriety is a fun way of updating the character for the modern time. This also means Titania sports a different look than her comic book counterpart, as she wears flashy and fashionable outfits instead of a purple (and very revealing) leotard. The MCU's Titania also does not have a mask it seems, unless a more comic-accurate suit is coming for her by the conclusion of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.
