There are active SHiFT Codes in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands throughout the month of May that will continuously rotate out for new ones after a short time. When redeemed, SHiFT Codes give players an in-game item known as a Skeleton Key, which can be used to unlock the chest located in the center of Brighthoof. Once the chest has been unlocked, a variety of different loot will be available to claim that Fatemakers can use anywhere across the Wonderlands.

If players have a high enough Luck stat, they can even receive Legendary Loot from the central chest with a Skeleton Key. Legendary Loot in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands are just powerful versions of all types of gear, and they usually feature a unique trait that sets them apart from the rest of the weapons, Wards, and armor found throughout the rest of the game. A higher Luck stat increases the likelihood of Fatemakers finding new Legendary Loot, but it also affects the possibility of getting other rarities of gear as well. For example, there are plenty of blue and purple tier gear in the game that can be just as valuable, if not more in some cases, as Legendary gear of the same type.

One of the easiest ways to keep up with new active SHiFT Codes in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is by following Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, on Twitter. New SHiFT Codes are not released every day, but they are released often enough to where there is always at least one active at any given time for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. After a code is redeemed, players can hold onto the Skeleton Key for as long as they desire, particularly if they wish to increase the Luck stat before using the key in Brighthoof.

To redeem a code, visit the redeem page by Gearbox Software in a web browser or the Social menu in-game, then claim the key via the "Mail" tab in-game. Any unwanted gear from the Skeleton Key chest in Brighthoof can be sold for more Gold in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands at the vending machines immediately to the right of it. Any Fatemaker that has multiple Skeleton Keys can claim everything in the chest once it's open, then re-open the chest after it closes. There is no limit to how many Skeleton Keys can be used in a single day.
