Chums the Old God is a new boss in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands that is part of the Coiled Captors DLC. The new Wonderlands DLC is the first expansion in the game, and it has brought a new activity called Mirrors of Mystery, new Chaos Levels, and a new way for players to earn more rewards. Fatemakers can repeatedly fight Chums the Old God at the end of the Mirrors of Mystery dungeon, as well as in the Chaos Chamber after the giant Seawarg has been defeated the first time.

The Mirrors of Mystery dungeon in the Tiny Tina's Wonderlands DLC features five levels that progress only by completing the challenges within. After clearing the fifth level, players will be able to fight Chums the Old God, alongside many additional Seawargs that accompany the giant shark-like boss. Naturally, Chums has more attacks at his disposal than the typical Seawarg seen throughout the Wonderlands such as the ability to send a giant wave of water at Fatemakers, but the Old God also has the typical charge and chomp attack that many of these enemies use.

In terms of weapons, nearly anything can be used in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands to defeat Chums during this first level because the fight is at the lowest level possible. Every Thursday from April 21 to May 12, a new enhanced difficulty of the Mirrors of Mystery activity will be released, making the Old God even hard to fight. To defeat Chums easily in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands as the new difficulty tiers are released, players should stick to either fire or frost damage weapons, but if the Old God receives a Ward in the coming weeks then a weapon that deals lightning damage should also be used.

Fatemakers can earn any piece of gear from defeating the Old God, but the one piece of gear that is specifically rewarded for defeating Chums is a Legendary ring called Lethal Catch. Lethal Catch can be earned with a variety of effects, but the native bonuses of the ring enhance the abilities' effectiveness by 25% for eight seconds after a kill. If the kill was a Land Shark or Crab, the effectiveness is increased by 100%.

Lethal Catch can either be earned by defeating Chums or from Vesper's Wheel of Fate in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, or from the Chaos Chamber rewards once Chums has been defeated the first time. The easiest way to get the ring is by farming Chums directly in the Mirrors of Mystery activity, however. After defeating the Old God, players can down themselves to respawn at the beginning of Chums' arena, which will respawn the Seawarg himself without despawning any rewards. Other Legendary rewards that can be earned in the Coiled Captors DLC are the Twisted Delugeon Rocket Launcher, Slip N' Stun Amulet, Tidebreaker Spell, and six other Legendary rewards that haven't been found yet.
