As players near the end of Weepwild Dankness in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, they will be tasked with defeating the Banshee. The Banshee is the first difficult boss in Tiny Tina's campaign, with many features that can make it a struggle during a player's first attempt. During the fight, the Banshee will alternate between two phases: each phase requiring different actions from players. Mastering these phases is key to success, as players will face this boss numerous times after beating Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Players will first face-off against the Banshee during the main story of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. During their quest to return Torgue to Brighthoof, players will travel throughout the Weepwild Dankness and destroy mana-draining crystals alongside the bard-barian. After cleansing most of these crystals from this fungal forest, players will be charged with fighting Tiny Tina's fearsome boss NPC, the Banshee. Right before reaching the boss arena, players will gain access to the Corrupted Heart waypoint, allowing players to Fast Travel to this location later in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Defeating the boss will reward players with progress in the story and a chance at legendaries from the Banshee's dedicated loot table. Not only does the Banshee's loot table include the powerful Wailing Banshee melee weapon, but also includes the epic Adventurous Hat cosmetic. Players looking to nab either of these swag pieces of gear will want to defeat this boss multiple times, grinding until their precious prize drops from the Banshee's corpse.

The Banshee begins the fight in a pre-battle phase, allowing players full access to the battlefield. Melee characters in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will want to take full advantage of this pre-phase, as the Banshee's mechanics are harsh for melee combatants. After a short duration, or taking sufficient damage, the Banshee will become invulnerable as she shifts to her first of two repetitive phases. During these phases, she will summon floating skulls named Banshee Spirits to harass the player. Players should ignore these additional enemies, as they are largely inconsequential to the fight, but make excellent sacrifices for a Death Save if players get downed by the Banshee.

In her first phase, the banshee will restrict the players to the small pond in the center of the map and position herself atop the ledge overlooking the water. This phase is made easier the further the players stands away from the boss, so players should use the strongest gun they've looted at this point. The Banshee will then proceed to make line attacks. These attacks will either be positioned to hit the Fatemaker's shins or head. Players should jump over lines that skim the top of the water, while crouching below higher attacks. After some time, the Banshee will switch to phase two.

During phase two, the boss will invert the arena, now making the water deadly. She will then float to the center of the map, hurling homing missiles at the player. Players should keep their distance and keep moving while gunning down the boss. After some time, the boss will cycle back to phase one, repeating this cycle until either party has perished. With enough patience and firepower, the third story boss of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands can be defeated with relative ease.
