Tim And Eric's short film "The Terrys" practically dares viewers to keep watching, but at least it ends on a surprisingly sweet note. Tim Heidecker (Us) and Eric Wareheim make up the titular duo, who are best known for their cult Adult Swim series Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! This show is something of an acquired taste and leans on their brand of anti-humor, where the sketches were so bizarre or grotesque the only reasonable response is to laugh.

Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! was far from beloved by all but it definitely had a fanbase, and attracted celebrity appearances from the likes of Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man). It even spawned a spinoff with Check It Out! With Dr. Steve Brule, featuring John C. Reilly as his recurring character from the show. The pair also worked together on Tim And Eric's Billion Dollar Movie - which probably cost a lot less to produce - and their most recent effort is Beef House, a parody of cheesy 1980s sitcoms.

Tim And Eric also appeared in several skits for HBO's Funny Or Die Presents, including "Father And Son," about Tim's stepfather struggling to connect with odd stepson, played by Eric. Easily the grossest of the bunch is "The Terrys." This one is framed like a documentary which is dryly narrated by Adam Scott (Parks And Recs) and tells the "love story" between The Terrys, a sex and drug-addicted couple living in a trailer park.

Tim And Eric's "The Terrys" sets a bleak tone early on, featuring a montage of the disgusting behavior of both Terrys, mostly relating to sex or drugs. It's easy to imagine both comics cackling with glee as they pushed the boundaries as far as possible, with gross-out moments coming at a rapid fire pace, probably leading some viewers to switch off early. The couple have a volatile love-hate relationship and threaten to kill one another constantly, which doesn't even change when Wareheim's Terry becomes pregnant.

Naturally, this leads to a graphic birthing scene where Terry gives birth to some kind of puppet baby, voiced by Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun Of The Dead). This is when "The Terrys" suddenly takes a turn for the sweet, as this puppet helps them both become better. He makes them acknowledge their love for each other and inspires them to give up drugs and other vices. The "documentary" closes out with the old age Terrys' dying together as their puppet son says goodbye. "The Terrys" is pretty much required viewing for Tim and Eric fans, but a very strong stomach is needed for the first half.
