Warning! Spoilers ahead for Batman #131!Among all the people who have ever held the mantle, Tim Drake has one thing that puts him a league above the other Robins. Batman #131 reveals what makes Tim one of the best Boy Wonders the Dark Knight has ever had.

Throughout Batman's career, he's had several people take on the role of Robin. Starting with Dick Grayson all the way to his biological son, Damian, Bruce has taken a number of young professionals under his wing. And though they all wore similar outfits, they all possessed radically different personalities and skills. Dick was a smiling acrobat, Jason Todd was tenacious and brutal, Tim Drake has a brilliant mind and Damian is a master tactician. Every Boy Wonder plays the same support role for Batman, but they all do it in their own unique ways, causing some debate among fans about whom the best Robin ever is.

After the latest tragedy in the Bat-Family, it seems that Tim is once again showing off the trait that makes him a stellar sidekick. In Batman #131's backup story "The Toy Box Part 1" by Chip Zdarsky and Miguel Mendonça, Tim is running through his and Batman’s final confrontation with Batman’s ultimate contingency, Failsafe, which shot Batman with a gun that made him completely disappear. Tim works alongside Superman Jon Kent, who apologizes for allowing Failsafe to get the gun by placing it in the Fortress of Solitude. While Jon shows support for Tim over Bruce’s death, Robin refuses to accept that Batman has died, even saying that they’ve “been through this before”. Though Nightwing accepts that Bruce is alive, he tells Tim that Batman will come back to them. But Tim is determined to make sure he finds Bruce and bring him home safely.

Only Tim Drake Will Work To Find Batman

Robin Goes To Save Batman DC Comics

This isn’t the first time Tim Drake had to work in order to find out what happened to Bruce. When Batman was shot by Darkseid’s Omega Sanction in Final Crisis, Tim worked out Bruce was alive long before anyone else. He traveled the world finding the evidence he needed to bring Batman back. While he has more support in his corner this time around, Tim is the only one actively working trying to find Bruce. The young hero’s relentless determination is something that Batman needs now more than ever, making Tim the best possible Robin.

Both times Batman was largely considered to be dead he had Robin Tim Drake on his side because Tim is as determined to see a case through as much as Bruce is. Even though heroes know Bruce is probably alive, Tim is the only one fighting to get him back. No matter what happens to Bruce, Tim is the one Robin who will not stop until he’s gotten his mentor back where he belongs. The other Robins are no slouches when it comes to heroism, but only Tim has the drive necessary to be the best Boy Wonder.
