A number of popular TikTok and YouTube personalities will be entering the ring next month to compete against each other. The Battle of the Platforms boxing event was announced some time ago, as were many of the matchups that are due to take place. While two remained unknown, details on one of those additional fights have now been confirmed, almost completing the TikTok versus YouTube fight card.

TikTok and YouTube might cater to different users and audiences, but they are both hugely popular platforms. In fact, with the release of YouTube Shorts, the two platforms are becoming more alike as time goes on. What’s clear with both, however, is creators can make a name for themselves with the right content and even a lucrative income in the process. For some, rising up the creator ladder can result in a switch to boxing, often going up against other creators on the same platform.

With the event now drawing closer, it might be time to take a look at the TikTok versus YouTube fight card. Headlining the Social Gloves event is YouTube’s Austin McBroom and TikTok’s Bryce Hall. Other confirmed matchups will see YouTube’s Deji take on TikTok’s Vinnie Hacker, YouTube’s DDG going up against TikTok’s Nate Wyatt, YouTube’s Faze Jarvis stepping in the ring with Michael Le, and YouTube’s Tanner Fox battling it out with TikTok’s Ryland Storms. While it was previously confirmed that Tayler Holder would also be taking part, it remained to be seen who the opponent would be. Now TikTok’s Holder is confirmed to be taking on YouTube’s AnEsonGib.

One YouTube Vs. TikTok Fight Still A Mystery

Danny Duncan was also originally billed to be representing YouTube. Similar to the Tayler Holder situation, who Duncan was due to the fight remained a mystery. This was due to the event organizers offering fans the option to pick who Duncan and Holder would compete against. While the Holder fight has now been resolved and confirmed, it still remains to be seen who Duncan will be stepping in the right with. In spite of that one fight still remaining unknown, the organizers have since announced that there will be two additional free-to-watch pre-show undercard matches taking place. These will see Landon McBroom taking on Ben Azelart, while Ryan Johnston takes on Cale Saurage.

The Battle of the Platforms was due to take place on Saturday June 5, 2021, but the date of the event was changed and will now take place one week later, on June 12. Besides the two free pre-show undercard fights, those interested will need to pay to watch the other fights and to see whether TikTok or YouTube is ultimately crowned the overall platform winner on the night.
