However, the most recent one has also now started to prove popular on Twitter as well. Here’s a quick explanation on both challenges and how to go about making your own version.
TikTok has become an extremely popular platform for challenge videos. While what makes a good challenge varies considerably, the process of adding to the growing number of videos remains the same - copy the original video while looking to add or customize it to offer a better version. These challenges often come and go quickly, although right now there have been two that have popped up over the last few months that coincidentally share the same hashtag.
A few months ago, a vogue challenge surfaced which encouraged users to make a video which shows the body of one person along with the legs of another. As these challenges both adopt the same hashtag, TikTok users will see a mixture of the two challenges when searching #VogueChallenge on the platform. Although the most recent one has now started to take off on other social media platforms as well, including Twitter.
How To Create Your Own Vogue Cover Challenge Video
The ‘Vogue Cover Challenge’ is certainly the newest of the two and therefore, is the one users will want to consider making videos on right now and while the hype is at its highest level. These videos revolve around the celebrity and lifestyle nature often depicted in Vogue Magazine and getting involved will require a little more work than just copying the moves from another video or using the same song.
To create your own Vogue cover challenge video, you’ll first need to shoot some footage of yourself right now in your current home environment and looking relatively normal. On top of this footage, TikTokkers are using existing photos (or taking new ones in unusual places while usually looking more glam) and then editing the photos with text, including the Vogue logo to make the photo look like a fresh cover of Vogue magazine. Some simply do this to one image and then transition from the home footage to the Vogue cover, while others have gone further by producing multiple different Vogue covers and then cutting away to the medley of photos for added effect.
On Twitter, the Vogue trend is exactly the same although Twitter users are mostly sharing their Vogue front cover images and not a video. Once the video has been edited to transition from the home footage to the fake Vogue covers, the only thing left to do is share on TikTok (or Twitter) along with #VogueChallenge.
