TikTok has made its Q&A feature available to all content creators. Previously, the feature had been somewhat limited in terms of its availability. However, that has now changed with any creator now able to open their TikTok account up to questions from followers and provide them with the answers they are looking for.

TikTok’s question and answer feature surfaced in late January, although the company was only testing it out at the time with a limited number of creators. It was only one of many changes the platform has made recently in a bid to help improve how the TikTok community works and operates. For example, TikTok announced a new text-to-speech accessibility feature around the same time, as well as the introduction of new graphic warnings that appear on selected videos prior to them being watched.

Of the many new features, Q&A appears to have proven to be a popular one and TikTok is now opening it up to all content creators. While any creator account can now make use of the feature, it is optional. Therefore, content creators are required to opt in if they want to add a TikTok Q&A to their bio. The feature is not only for pre-recorded and uploaded videos, but also TikTok Live, providing a way for creators to engage with their audiences in real time. For those looking to take advantage of the feature as soon as possible, TikTok advises updating to the latest version of the app.

Getting Started With TikTok’s Q&A

TikTok questions answers

Any TikTok creator can now add the question and answer feature to their account through the Settings & Privacy section of the settings. Similar to before, the feature is only available to accounts that are registered as Creator accounts. Due to this, normal user accounts are not able to add a Q&A. Once enabled, users will be able to comment on a video as normal, but mark it as a question and with a label that makes it easier to see amongst the rest of the comments. By adding the Q&A feature to an account, a separate link will also become visible on the creator’s profile page. This link will lead to another section where all of the questions (and answers) related to the creator are visible. In this sense, the page acts like a FAQ section that’s specific to the creator’s channel.

Overall, the new TikTok Q&A feature is likely to be a good addition to the platform. From the user perspective, it provides an option to provide feedback, get further information, or just communicate with their favorite TikTok stars. From the content creator perspective, the feature is a way to engage with their TikTok audiences more efficiently and quicker than before.
