TikTok is available on all Amazon Fire TV devices in the U.S. and Canada starting today. TikTok has enjoyed booming success over the past several years thanks to its viral and funny content, and has proven extremely popular with both teenagers and adults. Up until now, however, TikTok has only been available on mobile devices, such as iPhones and iPads as well as Android smartphones and tablets.

TikTok's rise hasn't been without its fair share of controversy. Since the start, there have been concerns over what user data and information is stored, and where it is stored. There have also been concerns over how much influence the app has on younger audiences, especially when it comes to questionable trends and how addictive the app can be. Despite the problems, users and creators appear to be continually flocking to the platform.

In exclusive partnership with Amazon, TikTok is now rolling out to the big screen on all Fire TV devices. This is the first time TikTok has expanded beyond mobile devices. Amazon has also built-in some nifty hand-free controls via Alexa. For example, users can say "Alexa, play TikTok" or "Alexa, pause" when using the app. The Fire TV app also features an AutoPlay feature that will continuously play fresh new videos without the user having to touch the remote or summon Alexa. Amazon says that TikTok will be "coming soon" to Echo Show devices as well, although the company didn't provide an exact date.

Those wanting to access TikTok can download the app for free through the Appstore on their Fire TV device. They will then need to log in to an existing TikTok account or create a new one. After logging in, users will be able to access For You and Following feeds, in addition to the Discover feed. According to Vice President of Amazon Entertainment Devices and Services, Daniel Rausch, "the whole family can now enjoy their favorite TikTok videos together on the best screen in the house with TikTok on Fire TV."

Many content creators have found a footing with TikTok and have used it as a way to easily interact and grow their communities. TikTok is typically known for its For You Page, which is an algorithm-based tab that surfaces content the user is likely to be interested in, while filtering out content that may not be as relevant.
