As usual, San Diego Comic-Con 2022 was huge for Marvel fans, introducing trailers, projects, and a timeline for both phases 5 and a glimpse into phase 6. In attendance, whether virtually or in-person, at the 2022 Comic Con were Marvel TikTokers who are posting and have posted videos and theories regarding the future of the MCU and some characters creators hope will return.

With that came discussions about what characters they would miss most in the previous phases and which ones they have enjoyed watching most recently. Needless to say, these content creators have a wide range of favorite Marvel characters, but the creators have narrowed it down to the top choice.

While the Hawkeye show displayed some stellar character squads, like the Tracksuit Mafia, who, in Danielle's words, showcased a "comic accurate" depiction of their comic book counterparts, it was Kate that remains her favorite character. Kate Bishop is undoubtedly a fierce up-and-coming Avenger who has proved her worthiness not only to Hawkeye but to New York City and Kingpin, one of the most villainous characters Marvel has produced thus far.

According to Danielle Silverstone, however, it was neither of these things that made Kate her "comfort character," but rather it was "seeing a comic book character deal with [her relationship with her parents]" that made Danielle feel "seen."

Both Sam Wilson and Steve Rodgers have embodied the Captain America title in their own ways; however, between the two of them, they both, according to Liz, "get back up" and show endless determination against all odds.

Liz goes on to say that both versions of Captain America are "the good we [should] always aspire to be," of course, alluding to the fact that both men stand for the betterment of the world and the people who live in it. Needless to say, both Caps bring their own spark to the table, and they both embody the good everyone should live up to.

Loki - @Victoriaorgana (47.9k)

One of the smartest and most ambitious anti-heroes in the MCU is Loki. Loki is a balance between cunning, chaotic, and caring, attempting to combine and depict all three of these characteristics throughout his 11 years with the MCU.

Victoria states that she started to "love Loki very much" during "Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok," going on to say that seeing "their sibling dynamic, seeing their growth, and everything about them" inspired Victoria to "[get] into [the] comics." She ends by saying that in the comics she loved seeing a "gender-fluid character [stepping into] the spotlight and truly [being] themselves."

Daredevil - @Basically_an_avenger (12.6k)

Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Daredevil

Daredevil is a complicated character who vacillates between being a loyal friend and being the street-level fighter who distances himself from others. While Daredevil has a complex and oftentimes strange relationship with others, he is always trying to better both himself and the world around him.

According to Sarah, Daredevil speaks to her because "he embodies both emotionality and physicality" of a more relatable superhero. She, as a woman from the Tri-State area herself, relates to Daredevil because he "defends his community, which speaks to the New York mentality" going on to say that "things start on the community level before they reach to the outside [world], so it's best to defend one's community first."

Wanda Maximoff - @Amandajustvibin (303.2k Followers)

Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch in the Comics and Avengers Movies

Wanda Maximoff is one of the most purposeful Marvel characters. Everything she has done throughout her 10-year run with Marvel is driven by a motivating factor. Most recently, Wanda has longed for a chance to be happy, and while she might go about it in questionable ways, this mentality speaks to the human experience.

There is so much to draw and relate to with this character, but Amanda "found solace in fiction when the adversity and heartache of reality became too difficult to bear." She goes on to state that, like Wanda, she found certain "outlets for [her] to make sense of the life [she] was born into."

Carol Danvers - @Samosasandpopcorn (2.0k)

Brie Larson as Captain marvel and Carol Danvers suits up in comic cover

Carol Danvers is, without a doubt, one of the most courageous and determined female fighters in the MCU. Overall though, her reputation has been lacking, but that hasn't deterred Pooja from liking her any less. Not only is she a brilliant, strong female role model to young girls, but Pooja says that unlike other Avengers like Tony Stark and Steven Strange, she has the right to be confident in her skin as "no one can headbutt Thanos, and live to tell the tale."

She continues by saying that "the moment she realizes she is just a human, she uses her emotions for good. Her emotions are what fuels her powers," and that, in and of itself is a reason to adore this character.
