A new piece of fan art imagines what Nicolas Cage could look like as Joe Exotic in the upcoming Tiger King TV series. Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is Netflix's most recent hit documentary, which took the world by storm when it was released last month. The series tells the crazy but true story of Joe Exotic, the former owner of Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, and his feud with Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin.

With the popularity of the show, it didn't take long for a scripted TV series to be put into development. About a month ago, Rob Lowe announced that he and Ryan Murphy were working on a new Tiger King project, which was later revealed to be a scripted TV series. Just yesterday, the project began to gain momentum after it was announced that Cage would play Joe Exotic in the series. Now, one fan imagines what he could look like in the TV show.

After hearing the news that Cage had been cast in the upcoming Tiger King TV series, artist bosslogic photoshopped the actor's face onto Exotic's body to give fans an idea of what the main lead in the series could look like. Bosslogic's original Instagram post can be seen below:

With the attention Tiger King has gotten since it's release, it's no surprise that Netflix isn't ready to let the hype for their show die down just yet. A few weeks after Tiger King was released, Netflix aired a new episode of Tiger King that acted as an aftershow for the series. A Tiger King comic book, titled Infamous: Tiger King is also arriving in June, and of course there are rumors that Netflix is already working on Tiger King season 2.

Joe Exotic might be serving a 22-year sentence in prison, but he's been vocal on who he wants to portray him in a movie: David Spade or Brad Pitt. Fans were more than on board for Spade to take on the role given the uncanny resemblance he has to Exotic, but Cage was arguably a safer bet. Cage has proven himself to be a diverse actor over the years, appearing in several different genres of film and even winning an Oscar in 1996 for the film Leaving Las Vegas. It's isn't known how far along Tiger King is into development, but shortly after the series starts production, an official look of Cage as the Tiger King will likely be revealed.
