Joe Exotic is getting desperate and reaching out to any and everyone who he feels can help get him released from prison. The Tiger King star recently wrote a two-page letter to Kim Kardashian begging her to help him get released from prison. Kim has grown her reality star and beauty mogul status into a full-time prison reform advocate. For the past few years, she has spent much of her time helping nonviolent offenders get exonerated and released from prison. Most famously Kim helped Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother who had spent the last 21 years behind bars for her part in a nonviolent drug offense. Since then, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has helped a number of former convicts in their freedom. As a result, Joe Exotic is seeking out the KKW Beauty founder in an attempt to receive his own get of out jail free card.

Joe rose to fame in Netflix's pandemic hit miniseries that documented his tiger reserve rivalry with Carole Baskin. Cameras captured the build-up to their feud and the death threats Joe made against Baskin that resulted in his incarceration. He spent a good part of the year trying to get President Trump to pardon him, including spending $10k at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C. However with Trump's presidency in its final days, Joe has decided to reach out to Kim to help expedite his possible exoneration.

According to All About the Tea, in a letter dated November 4, the former zookeeper begged Kim for help in getting a pardon. "I know you have never met me and may never want to however I do believe that you hold the values of our justice system dear to your heart,” Joe wrote in the two-page letter. He went on to plead his case to the reality star urging her to call Trump and ask him to look into his pardon request.

“I am writing you this letter not as Joe Exotic but as the person Joseph Maldonado-Passage, asking you to please help me by just taking 10 minutes out of your life and placing a call to President Trump to look at my 257 page pardon it’s all the evidence I’m innocent and ask him to sign my pardon so I can return home to [my husband] Dillon [Passage] and my father,” he wrote before sharing everything he's lost as a result of his imprisonment. “I have lost 57 years of work, my zoo, my animals, my mother has died, my dad is dying and I’ve been taken away from my husband who I love dearly."

He must have heard about her family's Tiger King-inspired Halloween costume because he seemingly referenced it in his handwritten plea. "Everyone is so busy making movies, getting interviews, selling stuff and dressing up like me that everyone forgot I’m a real live person in prison and kept from even telling my own story for something I didn’t do,” he wrote. He ended the letter by begging the mother of four to make “just a phone call,” that “No one even has to know you did it.” The former tiger keeper remains in prison serving a 22-year sentence after hiring an undercover FBI agent to murder Carole Baskin. Back in June, Carole was given control over Joe's zoo property.
