Princess and The Frog may have brought the Disney Princess franchise into the 21st century, but the movie continues to be severely underrated and undervalued by the Walt Disney Company. However, it seems like that has begun to change. Not only is Princess Tiana going to get her own ride at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, but Disney also announced that she will be getting her own animated show, based on the film, on Disney+ in the coming years.

After so many years of being brushed aside, Princess Tiana finally gets her chance to shine and fans can't wait. The new series is said to be set after the film's ending, which means Tiana has been transformed back into a human and is also now an official Princess after marrying Prince Naveen. On top of her new Princess duties, Tiana has also opened her dream restaurant: Tiana's Palace. With the film ending with so much going on, the series will have no shortage of content to use as episode inspiration.

Princess Tiana Stays A Human

While it's true that characters getting transformed into animals is a common story trope many fans are over it. In fact, many have criticized the Walt Disney Company for having their first Princess of color spend much of her movie as a frog. Hopefully, Disney has learned from this criticism and Princess Tiana gets to stay in her beautiful and ambitious human form instead of being yet another animal protagonist.

However, fans aren't against the presence of frogs all together. In fact, it might be interesting if someone else gets transformed into a frog to keep with the theme of the movie.

Tiana Working In Her Restaurant

Tiana spends much of her movie dreaming about and saving for the day that she can open up her own restaurant: Tiana's Palace. After quite a few obstacles, she finally gets to buy her dream location and begins to transform it into the restaurant of her dreams. In the final number of the film, we see Tiana, now a Princess, greeting her happy guests at her restaurant.

Since we know Tiana managed to open her own restaurant, fans are hopeful that the series will touch on how the restaurant is doing. Is it everything Tiana hoped it would be? Has she been given the Disney equivalent of a Michelin star yet? Is she serving as the head chef?

Tiana And Naveen Happily Married

While Tiana may not have been fond of Prince Naveen upon their first meeting, being turned into a frog and forced to go on an adventure with him certainly leads her to learn more about him and eventually change his tune. At the end of Princess and the Frog, Prince Naveen and Tiana marry as frogs before being turned into humans.

Since these two spent much of their early romantic history as frogs, fans are eager to see how their relationship goes now that they are both human again.

Charlotte As A Regular At Tiana's Palace

Charlotte has been Tiana's number one fan since day one. Not only is she an amazing friend who is always trying to help Tiana out she's also a huge fan of Tiana's cooking -- especially her beignets.

With Charlotte still single and searching for a Prince of her own, fans are certainly expecting Charlotte to be a regular at Tiana's Palace where royals are bound to visit now that she's a princess herself. There is no doubt that Charlotte and Big Daddy will have their own table at Tiana's Palace.

Lots Of Jazz And Musical Numbers

Louis Crashes The Jazz Band

Since The Princess and The Frog took place in New Orleans, jazz music was instrumental to the film. In fact, one of the characters' (Louis the Alligator) entire goal of the film was to prove that anybody can play jazz music -- even a "terrifying" alligator.

Since Tiana is going to continue to be set in New Orleans, fans are hopeful that jazz music continues to be used on the show. Fans are also hopeful that musical numbers are also apart of the new series since Tiana is known to break out into song every now and then.

Tiana Memorializes Her Father At Tiana's Palace

Tiana didn't wake up one day and decide to start her own restaurant, instead, the dream was cultivated between her and her father when she was a young child. In fact, much of Tiana's driving force behind her dreams is to complete the dream she created with her father all those years ago.

Since Tiana's dad is the one who first taught her to cook and pushed her to follow her dreams, fans are hopeful that Tiana finds a place to memorialize his legacy and influence on her within her restaurant. Perhaps he'll have his own table near the kitchen dedicated to his memory. After all, he is one of the best Disney parents of all time.

Dr. Facilier To Make An Appearance

Dr. Facilier shrinking in The Princess and the Frog

Dr. Facilier's status in the Tiana show is up in the air considering how his story ended in the movie. For fans who don't remember, Dr. Facilier ended up being dragged into the underworld by the shadows after Tiana breaks his talisman.

While some think Dr. Facilier might be dead, others have a feeling that the iconic Disney villain will make another appearance. After all, what's a Disney project without a villain to cause some trouble?

A Mardi Gras Centered Episode

Mardi Gras Floats

While the traditional carnival celebration of Mardi Gras is touched upon in The Princess and the Frog, it isn't a main focal point since Tiana is still stuck in her frog form when the parade comes through town, with Charlotte service as the princess.

Since Mardi Gras is such an iconic holiday celebrated in New Orleans, fans are hopeful that the series will explore the holiday in more detail. Perhaps, Tiana can serve as the Princess of the Mardi Gras Parade this year since she is actually a princess. Or maybe Tiana's Palace will be tasked with catering the event.

Tiana Participating In Princess Duties

Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen

There is no doubt that Tiana is going to have her hands full when Tiana drops on Disney+. Not only is she going to be the owner and chef at her very own restaurant, but she is now also a real princess. Surely, being a princess comes with its own duties, so fans are eager to see how Tiana is able to juggle both of these identities.

While fans do want to see Tiana participate in princess duties, they don't want her to be dragged away from her love of cooking either.

Continue To Use Hand-Drawn Animation

The Princess and The Frog was the Walt Disney Animation Studio's last Princess film to use a hybrid of hand-drawn and computer-generated animation. Since then, the studios have focused more on CGI animation. While that's fine and fans love the crisp look, fans are hopeful that Tiana will keep with tradition and continue to be hand-drawn.

Hand-drawn art does tend to be significantly cheaper than CGI animation, so it might be in Disney's best interest to stick with the tradition.
