The trailer for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming war flick Inglourious Basterds that was released last week kicked copious amounts of ass, and today we have three new posters for the film which are just as awesome.
Check them out below (click for high-res versions):
More than probably any other Screen Rant writer I am looking forward to Tarantino's take on a war film. He flips back and forth with David Lynch has my favorite director of all time, and I admit I give him and his films the benefit of the doubt every time.
And Inglourious Basterds is no different - I was looking forward to this project since it was announced and it's only the trailer (and now these posters) that wipe away any doubts I may have had and solidified it as a fantastic looking piece of work.
As for these posters they are fantastic not only in pure look but how they convey the feel of the movie. Hints of bloody violence but at the same time that it will be about much more than that (since it's Tarantino we're talking about, I'm guessing dialog is going to be given primary importance over other things), that the trademark Tarantino black humor is going to be very much present and perhaps above all that this fan favorite director means business.
If I had to choose (and it's a difficult choice indeed) I would pick the second poster as my favorite - just the image of the Nazi symbol with a bloody knife stabbed through it is iconic stuff indeed.
"Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nazi scalps.....and I want my scalps!"
Inglourious Basterds is set to hit theaters on August 21st this year.
