A new electrifying Marvel Comic adventure has been released starring Thor and StormThe Power of Light #1 is a free, sponsored comic that sees the two classic heroes saving some of the galaxy's inhabitants. It also emphasizes just how powerful Storm is - whether she knows how far her own potential extends or not.

Occasionally, Marvel releases one-shot comics that are via partnerships or sponsorships. These comics typically contain familiar characters in single issue adventures that have no bearing on current continuity. They also usually meet the theme of the sponsor's business or promotions. Marvel's The Power of Light is no exception.

The Power of Light #1 has the creative team of Erica Schultz, Ruairí Coleman, Chris Sotomayor, and Cardinal Rae. The editorial and production team for this comic includes C. B. Cebulski, Haley Falls, Justin McElwee, Devin Dever, and Mara Pantano. It was done in partnership with Citizen, a company that sells watches, some of which have "Eco-Drive." In other words, light is converted into energy to power the watch. The company has a line of Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney watches - while also having an ongoing partnership with MCU star, Jeremy Renner. The issue is available to read via the link in Marvel Entertainment's tweet.

This issue features Thor coming across a group of Skrulls who have fled their home world of New Skrullos because of a dictator who rises in the future. They know of Thor's adventures and have been waiting for him to pass by so he can help them start a new life in safety. Skrulls have often been enemies of the Avengers, so Thor is naturally skeptical. However, he does decide to help the galactic refugees - and he brings in additional help for the job, allying with the X-Men's Storm. Neither she nor Thor sports a sleek watch in this issue, but one of the Skrulls does.

The overall focus of this issue is exactly what the title suggests: the power of light. Thor can summon lightning, an ability he shares with Storm even though their source of power is different. Storm is extra powerful in this issue, pushing the limits of what she thinks she can do. This self-contained issue does an excellent job at showing what a dynamic duo these two Marvel heroes can be when they combine their powers. Thor is normally saving the day with the Avengers, while Storm is a prominent member of the X-Men. However, as of late, the two have had a couple appearances together: this issue and Demon Days: Rising Storm #1 from the team of Peach Momoko, Zack Davisson, and Ariana Maher. More team-ups with Thor and Storm would definitely be welcome as they are an electric powerhouse duo. Fans can see this adventure in Marvel Comics' newest sponsored one-shot, The Power of Light, which is available now.
